I'm so glad I found this channel. I love my Celestron Edge HD 8" SCT, with a few upgrades, but I find it a little wieldy. So I decided to purchase the ES ED102 from your other video. I was also interested in finding a mount for it and 'bam' here you are!

I have a Meade 120mm achro refractor that I use with my AVX Mount. It makes a really good setup.

Hi ,if i would have seen this video before ,i wouldn't have sent for a wedge (from celestron), , but since im still in the observing mode i guess its no big deal ,but watching this video ,i guess ill keep the wedge for a while juntil i get experienced with night sky then buy this mount , thanks again and Welcome back

Great Video! Funny story I did the same thing with selling! I just went eBay selling crazy in the last month selling off all of my older film and audio equipment we never use or that is sitting collecting dust in our warehouse and raised enough to buy the Advanced VX C8 CN with the SkyPortal wifi Package at Adorama. I am using a Zhumell Z8 now but trying to do photos with that is limited to just single exposures of not more than five seconds to avoid star trails and shifting since it is a manually controlled DOB. I was really only able to do planets, the moon and the sun but its amazing for viewing itself. I have limited content on my channel and now hopefully I will be able to post more content myself as well. once I get my package in. I wanted to upgrade because I have gotten into Astro Photography in the last year here and wanted to do longer exposure Astrophotography. So I sold and just purchased this same mount with the 8 Inch Newtonian SkyPortal Package yesterday. I added the Celestron GPSync and the 5(amp) Power Adapter as well. Next month I will purchase my Autoguider if I feel I need one. I will wait and see what I can achieve with this mount, scope and Canon 70D camera. To do guiding on the avx mount you must have a guide camera and a computer with PhD 2 guiding software and a guidescope and welcome back!

I just bought a used avx with a meade lx200 8" OTA hope to use it along with a TSO 8" f/4 astrograph. What has been your experience with the mount? does it track properly? what software do you do astrophoto with? APT? Celestron CPWI?

Can I ask you a real quick question? I cant hear yours so I wanted to know if your gear head or the motor box on your mount does it hum? My first mount hummed and then it died on me and today I got my second mount from Celestron and I was curious when the scope is powered on and in parked position does yours make noise from the motor?
