I can't **wait** for your book to come out on this topic. I've heard both sides - yes and no - from both Irish and non-Irish people. Thank you for putting this video together!

this is an argument i've gotten into with folks multiple times. and i'm like. i don't have the hubris to tell an otherworld being where they are, that they can't be there because its not the geography assigned to them by humans. the flavor of the different cultural beings, is different. mis-id can deffo happen but...they're just as different as the cultures are.

It has always been to odd to me when we discuss otherworldly entities how much we impose human constructs such as time and space or our morals and ideals. I know many spirits are tied to the land and culturally, people didn't differentiate the "real world" and "spirit realms" the same as we do now, but still... geopolitical frontiers made by humans sound really silly to restrict a powerful spirit to.

Thank you, as always, for your great insight! My Great Grandmother had a being come with her when she left Ireland. That being has stayed with our family and is with me now. When I cross over, I believe they will go with my oldest son. I love in Canada. My great Grandmother moved to the United States. I don't share a lot about it because it feels private and special. But the few times I have shared, I have run into the newer developing developing trend saying that that is not possible. It is frustrating that anyone would put an absolute on such powerful and often.... limitless beings. Again, thank you. 💚💜💚

"Check their culture at the shore" 21:28 .... that hit my funny bone. If I'm recalling this correctly, I remember an analogy you made in a past video about human / Otherworld relationship. It stuck out to me how you described the good neighbors like the various inhabitants of a forest. In relation to humans, we could categorize them as helpful, hurtful, or benign. When thinking of this and hearing your current topic, I think of a possibility where humans and the good neighbors are tied to (are "of") a land after generations of cohabitation, but when parts of that land go abroad (humans) it's possible that some of the associated Otherworld inhabitants might have the capacity or desire to travel with or after them. As an American, what comes to mind is the colonization process, where, other non-human groups (plant & animals) we're either intentionally or unintentionally brought to this continent. Apologies for the long-windedness and if I happened to miss paraphrase your past quote! I enjoy how your videos are very thought-provoking :-) thank you for sharing.

Hi from sun drenched Scotland,I have had the good fortune to do a fair bit of world travel and have always taken my own beliefs with me i.e. world view , spirituality. The last place was Gobekli tepe in turkey and whilst there I took a moment to say hello to the spirits of place and in my mind they were more exotically dressed good folk,so glad you make these vids , clearing up so many misconceptions, I find here in Scotland the new age love and light crowd have muddied the waters when it come to the seely court and esoteric arts in general.all the best from sunny Troon 😊

This is great. It is worth asking whether there is some blending of the different explanations: sometimes fairies are migrating, sometimes local spirits are being named as fairies, etc.

This is so interesting! I love the idea of the beings following people from a diaspora, and I kinda relate to that experience? I'm French Canadian and my earliest Irish ancestor is my grandfather's grandmother, so it dates back quite a bit. But I remember learning about our ancestry as a young child and instantly feeling a connection with Ireland. Later, I started to work through decolonizing my spiritual practice, so I try to not act as if Irish culture is completely mine to use and I want to be respectful of actual Irish perspectives. But Irish culture impacted my people's culture a lot, so it's reassuring to be able to feel a connection while being part of the diaspora since it has been so important to me since I was a child. Next step is learning the language to understand core mythological texts better 😊💚

I appreciate your nuanced and sensible approach to the topic. As you talk about culture, I also think that we may want to consider the Other potential culture as well. A fully sentient being in a society of Others or even a Court could potentially have their own culture, protocols, etc. I wonder that if even within groups of Other, if there aren't regional and local differences from their perspective (let alone from the human perspective). I guess I'm wondering aloud if what we might consider an 'Irish' or 'Scottish' label for a particular type could be either sort of a species identity, OR an ethnic/cultural one. So the same "species' that exists or is reachable in different locations might also have different culture/protocols (within their own group) in North America (vs., say Ireland or Wales) because they're part of a different identity, kin group, or community. In short, yes complicated. Maybe that is the only always, haha.

Definitely, validating Native American mytho-legend in California is different than the faerie lore. They’re different realms, that’s clear to me now just how. I should start taking notes again! My faerie experience happened on unceded Acjachemen territory but in an old oak forest. I’m still shocked by it all and it’s been many a moon! I appreciate this talk too!

Thank you for the video. I can't remember but I read somewhere that if you take Earth, Water or even Rocks & other minerals from one area to another it transfers energy to the new place. I wonder have you ever heard of something like this before.

Excited to learn more about your book! This is a very informative and insightful video as someone who does not work with the good folk as you say, but I find it a little odd that people do you think that they’re only way to connect with them is by visiting those physical places. New subscriber here as well, and looking forward to more on the subject.

I believe you’re correct. These beings can travel as we can as well as using methods inaccessible to us. My father himself heard the bean si 2weeks before his death. He heard them outside his bedroom window

The good folk can be found anywhere and all over the world. The Japanese have Yokai, the Africans have the Aziza and etc... The realms in which they dwell is diverse and faeries of all sort of often shape shifter's. I'm an American black chic who grew up experiencing paranormal and otherworldly episodes. It took years for me to admit I'm psychically inclined, because of trauma and feeling like i was cursed. I've always been weird w/ the feeling of tip toeing between two places. My mother's last name is Scott-Irish and I carry it. The English, Irish and Scottish intermixed w/ people from all over (past/recent); who may not outwardly look like them, but their blood flows the same. Also, I believe people bring their beliefs and gods over...sorta similar to the "American Gods" series concept. The Earth probably was a stomping ground for many beings before humans became numerous. Bridget from Celtic mythology for example is married to Baron Samedhi in the loa pantheon or voudun. The melding of Irish and African American cultures. I grew up seeing faeries abd have had some bizarre ass experiences w/ them. I even met a woman in my dreams who was split down the middle; black and white. Like half of her was shadowed and the other half pale, luminescent and fair. Long wavy Blonde hair and hypnotic blue eyes...like Galadrial. She called our meeting peculiar. The episode was like being half in and half out of awareness. Two worlds were blending. I saw a woman sitting at a piano playing music; while she seemed like a shadowy silhouette w/ flowers growing from head. It was bizarre. There were people trooping playing musical instruments. That took place in a wooded area. It gets weird sometimes. I would think they'd stick w/ their own or maybe its the energy or vibration of the place and people. 🤷‍♀️ If anyone knows the name of the white/black faery queen looking lady or folklore about her....can you please point me in the right direction? Give me a name. Lol

Really interested to see what you think about the sightings/interactions with fairies here in NZ, The first settlers the Maori around 1000AD were the first to see them and they were completely foreign to the deities /spirits they were familiar with.in their homelands. Maori are dark skinned people with specific cultural practices and the beings that they determined were fairies are completely different in looks, language and behaviours- essentially blond blue eyed hill folk that would enchant people travelling alone and potentially take them to their dwelling place sometimes never to be seen again, i'm not sure that there have been recorded sightings by the 2nd lot of migrants (British} in the late 1700;s, it is certainly not a part of the culture here although Maori certainly believe in their exixtence.

Hey morgan, maybe you’ve gotten this question before, but I wonder what your opinion is on the good folk not being able to be caught on camera. Or maybe they are but they try to avoid it. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge. Hope you have a wonderful day

Very interesting video, I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer: You said in the past that you believe some Fairy beings have a relationship with humans, do you think this is the reason some of them follow human communities, or do you think there are other factors involved? Do you think those beings can move across continents on their own, independent of humans? And finally, because fairy folks come from a separate world, do you believe that one can cross from our world to their world and vice versa regardless of a specific continent or country? Thank you for the video!

Thankyou for doing this video and giving such in depth consideration to this topic. It is something I have thought a lot about. I live in Tasmania, Australia. There are things that I have experienced in nature that do not seem indigenous and I often wondered if that sense was accurate. Recently I saw a new book being published about fairies in Tasmania. The author claims "No-one really knows where they have come from or how many reside in Tasmania. They seem, as described by the witnesses, to be varied in appearance. The original owners of this land say they are not from here. Not originally".
