I literally was shouting at my tv watching that Punk vs Caba match. Just absolute edge on your seat match that by the end I had to actually pause and walk away to regroup myself cause it was so intense 😂 I was rooting for Caba because I love his Guile play but man that match could’ve gone either way

I like the intro animation they decided to go with, of the two characters and the door opening behind them. The one that had in the beta just took too long to play through, this is the right balance. 20:50 - Caba parried everything. Also love having Yipes on commentary, was always sad he was more oof a MVC guy, and we were often deprived of his lungs.

That punk vs caba match was sick. I love thst this game allows for both lame play and super aggressive play. This match is a perfect example of just that.

The story of this tournie more than anything is that menas character choices were the best, his 2 mains cover each others weaknesses well. If a character can beat fireballs, he chooses blanka, if a character loses to fireballs he chooses luke. Done deal. Everyone is going to need a second main to cover bad matchups both via character select and to deal with players that are very good at either fundamental play or tricky/crazy play. What I’m wondering though is who counters blanka. He’s naturally anti fireball and anti normal poke.. that’s not something many characters have.

Capcom needs to add an option to make the entrance cinematic unskippable now.

Seriously the best commentary in FGC standards. Yipes is like Jerry Lawler in a way and Logan in a way is like Jim Ross. One provides the over the top stuff and the other is more textbook with his occasional excited moments too. Great stuff.

By the time it's run is over, I think Street Fighter 6 will be considered the 'flagship' Street fighter in future. A lot of the community never truly moved on from Third Strike, marking it the apex of the series. But this game right here, I've not heard anyone say a bad word about. It honestly feels like the second coming of Third Strike, a generation defining fighting game that outshines all others of its era.

This was great! I really like Mena RD and I have been playing Blanka for years. It is great to someone being so successful with Blanka! Also, it is good to see Nephew doing so well. Although he was really good in SF5, he seems to be even better in SF6 -- like he was pre-prepared for this game. In addition, Caba is so good, I expect him to win a big tournament one day.

I like sticky fingers safer playstyle on manon, opting to go for normals and surprise overhead/lows moreso than the riskier command grabs. Esp against juri players
