This is gonna be SO sick. I loved the tab S8 ultra, but I hated the keyboard case. I wish they would’ve made this same keyboard case with that tablet. Never used lenovo’s android though so I’m curious what their skin is like

I want to love it, but for how long and how quickly will it receive android updates? I don't mind changing phones every 2-3 years but a tablet needs to last 5-6 years. Heck my iPhone 8 for work is still getting the latest ios updates. I hate Apple but the m1 and m2 iPad are tough to beat for capability, efficiency, and longevity.

Quite intrigued that of all brands Lenovo tab powered by Mediatek is taking head on Apple tablets. I like the specs of the Extreme tab.

0:49 it's not just Lenovo, but that "portrait mode" is still too narrow. 16:10 is still too cramp for note taking, document handling and it might seem like a little issue but you end up having to web scroll more compared to an iPad that keeps close to actual webpages, book pages, paper/document portrait aspect ratios. Windows tablets are getting better and it's good they are realizing portrait use is important because tablets are first and foremost used in hand which is a functional distinction from laptops. Windows/Microsoft also have a ways to go to get Windows 11 working well in touch but that;s a whole separate issue outside of OEMs

Lenovo makes great everything these days... I had the iPad pro with the magic keyboard and loved the keyboard. Sold it and bought the Galaxy tab S8 plus with Samsungs expensive keyboard but didn't like how floppy the keyboard was. Loved the tablet though. This is how all tablet keyboards should be made.

As a tab s8 ultra owner I'm very impressed by this product from Lenovo. Great to see competition in the android tablet market. The keyboard case looks amazing, much better than Samsung's. Two usb ports is a major improvement. Other than that they look like very similar devices, which is very impressive for Lenovo. Hoping this can pressure Samsung to keep improving too.

Unless its offering some breakthrough innovation like running both android and windows, doubt its gonna break Apple and Samsung dominancy

I much prefer the 450g WEIGHT range and 11" screen size for portability and ergonomics of a tablet. Throw in a bluetooth folding mechanical keyboard at 150g max and you have yourself a winner.

I like this, if there's any sort of letdown it will be that Samsung has Dex, for a more window management like experience, Lenovo doesn't have that, unless I'm not aware.

The Apple Magic Keyboard is too expensive and TOO HEAVY however despite the design producing a decent typing experience. I wonder what the weight of this keyboard (detachable) is?

I've got the 11 pro. I really wanted to like it for work, but the problem is that it won't let you use the web version of any google drive app. If I want to edit a file on my google drive , be it sheets or document, it automatically makes me use the installed app even though its inferior to the web experience. Not to mention editing excel/word file - there is nothing even close to decent for that in apps. Also, it will not let me run the web-whatsapp version which means I can't have the app on both my phone and my tablet. So, for entertainment its a great device, but not for work. Unfortunately, I need this for work on the go. Currently I just use it with RD to log into my work computer and work on that, but its quirky. I hope Android 13 is different in that respect.

Sheesh !!! 🤤 This tablet with Qualcomm's new Orion or at least an 8 Gen 2, 5 years of updating and $200 - $300 less on the price, and Lenovo would have had a winner! But there at almost $1200 without the pencil and the keyboard, and with a Mediatek, it's going to be very very complicated compared to the iPad M1 12′′ and S8 Ultra which are objectively better in terms of software, much better followed in terms of software and have an aura that Lenovo does not have. Lenovo, or how to release an almost perfect product but make it stillborn 🤦🏽‍♂️

aspect ratio are still terrible with non - Apple tablets. why can't they do the same aspect ratio as iPads, web pages, magazine/book covers and paper? OEMs are skimping by cutting out only 16:9 panels which is only good for landscape use, but completely make portrait and all its productivity functions useless. That is too narrow. It'd already been proven either a wider portrait or taller landscape has shown to increase more useable screen real estate for productivity because webpages, documents, pages etc are actually 4:3 or 3:4 which is why many laptops are going 16:10 now from 16:9....still not enough though but hopefully will eventually go to a more useable landscape and portrait 16:12. Games can be developed or changed for a 16:12 the only downside are widescreen movies, but you may as well get a separate widescreen monitor for that, why sacrifice all the functionality of portrait just to have less video borders in landscape?
