This is a rough video that I took with my phone. It's a top speed run of my 2018 ZForce 1000

UPDATE: I found that one of my factory spark plugs was almost completely closed up (the gap). I fixed that and it'll do 73 MPH now.

How easy is it to change the oil and belt? Can go get to stuff for maintenance or a pain in the ass? Looks like a nice ride.
@cfmotoz86266 жыл бұрын
Changing the oil is easy. Changing the belt is another story, but they don’t break like the other machines! I heard a guy has done 6,500 km on original belt and is going to change it at 9,000km. I’ve done 2000 km with mine and it still looks like new!

How is the machine still running? How many miles do you have now? Thinking of the 800 trail. Thanks

It's still running great and I put it through absolute hell!! I think it's around 800 miles now.

I run Premium 93 octane. I found that one of my factory spark plugs was almost completely closed up. I fixed that and it'll run 73 MPH now.

Hi this will sound like a stupid question but why is it only able to do 70mph with a 1 litre 4 cylinder engine but a car with a similar size engine can go much faster for example a Nissan Micra in the UK where i live will do 100mph with same engine size ?
@TheVenom83434 жыл бұрын
This is a 2 cylinder but that is besides the point. This is an off road machine. It's geared MUCH different than a car with a completely different transmission.

ON STOCK TIRES MY 800 RAN 73 BUT WENT TO TALLER 30IN TIRES AND COULD ONLY GET 62MPH
@TheVenom83436 жыл бұрын
You're speedometer is off when you go to a different sized tire. But you need to see my reply to "CF Moto Z8", I found a spark plug issue yesterday...

What size stock tyres do they now come in?
@TheVenom83436 жыл бұрын
CF Moto Z8 Mine came with 27-9-14 and 27-11-14
@cfmotoz86266 жыл бұрын
Ole Dude the z8 came with 26 2 ply tyres. I don’t think that the small difference in size would make any difference, but going to a 8 ply tyre will.

My 800.can am will do 74 with 2 adults on it and I believe it will get there faster also. So I'm a little disappointed with this as a 1000

Yes sir, I'd like to see more power out of this v-twin. But I will say this, since I've had it (Feb. 2018) it has never smoked the belt and I've been stuck in some deep thick shit. That CV Tech Clutching is fucking money!! I buried it in a creek Saturday with water half way over the bed and everything is still functioning. I was actually very surprised!

Is 70mph top speed all u can manage? My brand new z8 did 68mph stock!
@TheVenom83436 жыл бұрын
It was flopping between 70 and 71 so I'm gonna say that's all it'll do. I don't think it would matter if I had more road. I'm getting a tuner for it then I'm going to re-try it. I think it should do a little more than an 800. Lol!! It feels very de-tuned though.
@cfmotoz86266 жыл бұрын
Ole Dude u would think that with 20hp xtra power it would be relatively faster than a Z8. Looking at your machine I can’t think of anything that would slow it down, apart from a strong head wind maybe. I would love to know what top speed others get.
@TheVenom83436 жыл бұрын
Hey, let me add this. I'm in the process of putting a snorkel kit on it (hence I have the plastics off) and I decided to pull my spark plugs to check them. The front cylinder spark plug gap was just about completely closed up (I couldn't even get my gapping tool in there). So when I get it back together, I'll try it out again. I just remembered that though!!
@cfmotoz86266 жыл бұрын
Ole Dude you should get some aftermarket spark plugs. I got mine from s place called Magnum I think, I never had to change them again!
@cfmotoz86266 жыл бұрын
Ole Dude a snorkel isn’t going to make go faster but if your driving in dusty conditions like I do, get a pre filter cleaner such as the Donaldson TopSpin which will reduce your dust intake considerably, thus reducing the need to clean your filter which is a pain in the Arse!

Have you had the stock throttle stop removed after the 1st service. RPMs should now come close to 9000. Thats why you are not getting any higher.
@TheVenom83435 жыл бұрын

Mine has been absolutely fantastic!! This is what's funny, every time we go ride, one or more Polaris's break and I just kinda giggle and shake my head. You need to really look at one of these up close. They are built very well! I could type up alot of little things that they done great on. Like the front driveshaft that actually comes out the center of the tranny and runs straight to the front diff (just look at Polaris's), the ECU is mounted at the very tip top of the machine, all the plugs are water/mud proof, the axles are big (I haven't broke one yet), CV Tech clutching. There is more stuff that I'd have to think about but it really is a well built machine and that surprised me. I thought it was going to be a piece of shit!
