Watch this beautiful 3D animated short called "14" (as in 1914), during one of the legs of the Tour de France, the national champion is leading the pack. Suddenly, an unexpected turn detours the racer into the Col du Tourmalet! For more information, please see the details and links below.

1913 Tour de France had the champion far in the lead when his bike broke in half. Walked 10 kilometers to a blacksmith. Spent hours fixing it and wound up 7th.

Me encantó este corto... sobretodo porque mi esposo(70) practica ciclismo todos los fines de semana... jajajajaja fue muy divertido ver los desencuentros del protagonista.. 🤭🤭Hasta el cerdo fue divertido... GRACIAS... Muy bien realizado... historia entrenida e humorística.👏👏👏👍🏻🌺

MirceaKitsune it's about Tour de France, WWI, and being french. I'm french so it made sens to me, as an accurate slide of life in 1914

You need to know the culture to understand. It makes a lot of sense! Le tour de France is the most important bicycle race in the world. The cyclists have to cycle around the entire country for several days and anything can happen. In that small village, the protagonist was a champion and he got recognized by the local people who wanted to celebrate with him... In the meantime, he got too drunk to fix his bicycle and complete the race. It makes perfect sense!

Miracles Happen: Exactly, it's simply a slice of life in a small, rural town. We see the tavern owner, a shop keep or butcher (apron) what appears to be the mayor (leaving the building with the clock wearing a suit indicating status) Priest, and probably the town drunk (the ex-serviceman with the trumpet). I think that this day would have unfolded basically the same regardless, but having a celebrity in their midst was even more a cause celebre.

I don't the trumpet guy was the village drunk. The badge he shows in the bar, once translated, means that he was freshly incorporated in the army. The action takes place in 1914, year of the start of WW1.

Péter Stangl A French man spots his old lover going past his cafe who has now become a cycling champion and is in the tour de France. He has arrived by fate. The villagers are suspicious and threaten to expose them. They throw a party to celebrate their coming together again against the threat. The pig tries to create an aversion to help stop this. The ex lover carrying his bike up hill represents the uphill battle they will face as a couple in a small isolated village.

Loved the terrains, atmospheres, characters and their expressions. It captures ones attention quickly, specially that pig, it has alot of potential to do some really comical things, I loved how it put the tire over its body somehow, but for what reason? I really want to know what that pig does with that tire, im ready for part two.
