Spring is the story of a shepherd girl and her dog, who face ancient spirits in order to continue the cycle of life. This poetic and visually stunning short film was written and directed by Andy Goralczyk, inspired by his childhood in the mountains of Germany.

This set the bar for me. Great animation, great musical score, and incredible visual storytelling; this short showed me how much artistry, story, creativity, and imagination you could cram into just a few minutes. It's what led me to find other great animated shorts, and I can't thank this short film enough. Whenever I watch other animated shorts, THIS is the gold standard I compare them too. Well done to all involved.

I love that it was a cohesive story and everything had a meaning. Nowadays, people make movies for the sake of showing off money through CGI, but this was beautiful.

The animation at 2:16 is particularly realistic. Especially the way she holds the staff at 2:21 and around ! It's rare that I see something that look as real as this, without being too cliché. This is what I would call art.
