Perhaps it's the Florida sun, or the excitement of our baby boy coming sooner and sooner, but we were filled with some giggles during our Q&A session!
Last week, we asked you to send us your questions on social media for a Q&A and we are so grateful for your responses! While this Q&A video will be one of our shorter ones, we selected the top 11 questions we are asked most often lately!

She dresses modestly. Some people thinks it's strange, weird or you are brain washed if you dress modestly. I was raised to dress and not expose myself. My momma hemmed a dress and it was above my knees. I tried it on and my daddy was on our back porch and I went to show him my new dress. He took one look and said young lady, go put on something appropriate. I am 64 years old and I still stay with my upbringing. I did not question or ask why. I respected my parents. The public school I attended in West Virginia girls wore dresses and they had to be a certain length. In the winter some girls wore pants under their dresses to walk to school to stay warm but when they got to school they had to go to the restroom to take them off. I love the way Erin dresses. As long as she and Chad are happy that's all that matters. M

Such a precious family! ❤ What a joy to watch you grow up on specials then tv series, meet Chad, and be the amazing woman of God you are Erin! So fun to watch how you have grown too, Chad. We live in Florida, have for past 18 years. Homeschooled our two. We have two in Heaven. We also love the sunshine, and even the rainy season. We served on staff, in ministry, here till about 5 yrs ago. We were led to do things differently, and now my husband uses his calling as a volunteer but works full time elsewhere. So yes, you remind us of ourselves, and we think, “Oh,if we had their wisdom and calmness back then.” We had some, but you two do amaze us! Enjoy the goodness of God here in this beautiful state, and we wish Ya’all the best! (Yep, we have lived in Oklahoma ,Tennessee, MI and other places too Chad) ❤

Calm magnesium was a big time help during my pregnancy. I didn't know about taking magnesium until I was pregnant with my twins babies 6 and 7. This was the first pregnancy that I did not develop any new varicose veins. Blessings to you guys❤

Erin your laugh is beautiful. You and Chad are delightful. I love to see how well you get along and how happy you and the kids are. One thing that drawn me to The Bates, when you were on TV, was the love between everyone, how God was first, how the siblings always helped each other and how wonderful your parents were to everyone. Y'all are living the same life full of love for each other and putting God at the head of your home. I am thankful to have found your family years ago before you has even gotten married. In a world that seems to have lost its way it is nice to see all The Bates and their spouses continue to shine their light for God. Praying for an easy and safe delivery for you and baby William. Chad and Erin, your family is so beautiful. I don't think the word "hate" should be used in any aspect of your family. I seldom buy any clothing that is brand new. Consignment shops usually have many wonderful items and you don't have to break the bank. Erin, you always look amazing. You have wonderful taste. I am 64 years old. I was wondering why Carson signed Charles on the paper about your goat attack. And I was impressed by his cursive handwriting. My husbands parents used his middle name as he grew up but when he went to college he asked them to call him by his first name. I was always amazed his mom honored his request and she had no problem with changing over. Her middle son wanted to go by Phil as an adult versus Philip and she honored that request too. So it does happen. 😊 I’m always amazed that people can be so rude. I’ve always loved thrifting my clothes. It’s fun to look.

This was a fun video I love the name William. My oldest brother is William, both my grandfathers names are William, and there’s many many “Williams” in my family😊. My grandmother said there were 5 things she, as a mother was going to do for her children 1. Keep her boys’ hair cut 2. Keep her children’s faces and noses clean. 3. Teach them to work hard. (Boy, did she ever😅) 4. Teach them that their father is king. Everything they do they do it for him (I’ve never seen 10 children all love their father like they loved/love theirs). 5. Teach them to pray. She literally succeeded in all of these and then some. Anyways, you’ve a darling family. It thrills me when I see people/parents having AND loving many children. I’m the 3rd of 16, and we have 9 of our own.

My son went by his initials as a nickname until about Carson's age. He then wanted to go by a short form of his full name.. He would then introduce himself as that name in all new places and situations (new teams, teachers, friends). Now most people outside the home call him by that name and only our family in the home calls him by his original nickname. Also I can't believe people were so mean about your clothes. You always look nice.

When putting the stockings on and off. When taking the off roll the from the top down, and leave the rolled, when you get ready to put them back on cover your legs with powder, slip them on your toes and just start rolling them back up you leg. Old nursing trick, works like a charm.

*Erin I hope you see this!!* I developed one very painful varicose vein during my fourth pregnancy, I also got Covid during that pregnancy not sure if it was related, but I started taking CoQ10 which is supposed to support blood vessels and I swear the pain definitely got better! Granted I have started taking it after my baby was born due to the fact that the pain was not going away after birth like I expected it to, and the pain isn’t 100% healed but it is definitely improved.

Love your sons names and I would encourage Carson if he wanted to be called Charles. It would only take a few months and you would all be used to it. Speaking from experience here - I changed back to my given name at 44 years old and that way HARD - but I have done it. 🙂

As a person dealing with venous insufficiency in her legs, I would like to offer the following advice, which is most likely what your doctor's told you. Elevate your legs whenever possible. Wear thigh high compression stockings (hint: if you get a sock aid, they are so much easier to put on), don't cross your legs, stay hydrated. I love your clothing. You always look so stylish. Erin, you and Chad are doing an amazing job raising your family. They are so well-rounded and wholesome. I love how you teach them to have respect for all the animals and the responsibility that comes with them. Your children spend a lot of time outdoors and doing crafts etc. They are not tethered to the Internet or spending countless hours on electronic devices. More families should be using your parenting skills. May God continue to bless your family.
