Senior & Beginner Workout - Chair Low-Impact Cardio 30 Minutes.
Get your heart rate up with this all seated low-impact fun cardio workout!
This seated workout is easy on the joints while strengthening the entire body including your heart!
Light dumbbells 1-5lbs can be used for the arm strengthening section of this workout. If you don't have hand weights you can also use water bottles or soup cans.

I had hit 300 lbs a few months ago- I am 25 and I have heart issues. I used to run when I was in highschool but I stopped because I started working. I have been wanting to get back into exercising, but I worry about my heart constantly. Recently, I heard about chair cardio, and finally had the inspiration to start. I get a work out and my heart can handle it, which makes me so happy. Thank you for taking the time to make this easy to follow video for everyone to enjoy.

I've done this one and liked it but today I did what I think is a new chair cardio one with a lavender ball and loved that one too. I feel all stretched out and as usual I really love your techniques! Thanks, Lauren for helping me work out all the holiday treats I've been consuming!

I go back and forth from this video to the standing workouts. I have noticed my core getting stronger in a little over a months time of doing any one of your workouts every morning! This one is my favorite for the arms as I have developed the flab on the back of my arms and can really feel the impact. So happy I found you!!

Great workout on the chair. I have bladder prolapse and sitting and concentrating on the core will help me strengthen my pelvic floor and abs. Looking forward to more videos. Love how calm you are and the instructions you continue to provide through each movement.

I'm 47 years old and till recently been very active but now i have hip tendonitis and It was really frustrating to find hip friendly cardio work out but this looks really good will try it today 👍🏻 thanks

Hi Lauren. Do you have any videos to help someone strengthen their sciatica. She tried one of toy videos I shared with her of yours and said it hurt her sciatica to ouch. Thank you! Carol

You can't target the sciatica to strengthen it. You can target the glutes around it. To stretch around the sciatica I would suggest pilates. It sounds as though she may have weak hips/glutes.

Do you have any 30 minute cardio workouts? I do weight training on a separate day and was disappointed that the cardio portion is barely 15 minutes.

I have many 30 minute cardio workouts. Are you just looking for seated though? My seated cardio routines are a bit shorter than 30 minutes, you can find them in the playlist section.

Building muscle mass is great for burning calories even at a resting state.

I am a senior, not a beginner but the exercises are very fast for me. I have a request - how can I slow your routine down for me? Double count perhaps?

Sure thing Karen. A simple fix is to go into your KZfaq settings to the playback speed. You can reduce the speed of the video by 25 or 50% and that should be perfect!

This is so nice, but I notice that the pace is still a little too fast for some of the exercises, and I am a reasonably fit 60 year old! I was thinking of sending this to my 85 year old parents, but I realize they would find the pace much too fast.

Thanks for the feedback. Check out some of the other seated workouts, they are slower. Also, did you know that you can change the playback speed on KZfaq videos? If you go to your settings, you can slow down any video! Give that a try 💜

This is a good workout, but I believe it has been mislabeled. It is not a cardio workout--exercises so easy and gentle, and so much repetition, it will not elevate the heartbeat. It is a strength workout. Same exercises as in the strength videos. Also, low impact means one foot on the ground at all times and in this video there are several exercises where both feet are lifted at the same time. Just lift one foot at a time.
