A couple of notes and stuff you missed/misunderstood QW only gains the execute bonus damage on targets that are isolated or immobilized EW places the field, if a champ walks into it the field activates and shoots a projectile that doesn't go through minions and roots. It's more of an area control and vision option than anything.

The way I'm trying to remember his abilities is all of his Q2, W2, E2, etc have the same shape, if that makes sense. Q2s are skillshots, W2s are AoE circles, E2s are pretty unique so probably just have to remember those. Combined with the Q = damage, W = Utility, E = CC you can form your spells in your head that way. For example: QQ is a damaging skillshot EW is CC in a circle area EQ is a CC skillshot WQ is a utility "skillshot" etc.

Hwei ult feels like something you open the combo with instead of closing it out

If your EE deals damage you should use it more for wave clear and also to proc your passive more often

I really love the fight in game one where viego gets on top of you cause it looks like you canceled your q ability using r, and really shows how the kit can fail in a panic situation if you hit the wrong key. Such an interesting playstyle to work around with this champ with the decisions you have to make every fight.

He's literally perfect for me. I love his gamestyle, his design, his clothes! I really like it!

Coming back to watch this again and I REALLY REALLY LIKE that you were occasionally saying what ability you were doing. Like, "OK, E-Q, then Q-W," Etc....was really helpful for this champ

I think one major thing to get used to with him is WE before an all in and just using it as often as you can when poking & clearing waves. It gives back more mana than you spend and is bonus damage on your AA’s and abilities.

I think what makes a good hwei player are the cancel paintbrush mechanic you can like toggle but not cast so you keep switch from utility to CC to damage and confuse your enemy since I see it has no CD and no mana spent

Jhin/Hwei quest gives Hwei 3.33% magic penetration and Jhin 4.444 lethality ! Also Malignance is a lot better, because you should use your ult as an opener, like a Fizz ult. And having ult CD is broken af since your ult enables you.

Genuine question. Do the damage scale off the numbers of points in an ability base of the initial cast or the second cast. For example. If you press Q+W but have maxed out Q and not W what type of damage do you get.

For a burst combo try out: WE => EQ/EE => Ult => QW | Harder to hit, combos a bit slower (delayed damage by 1 sec), does more damage when target is isolated/immobilized also has a execute based on missing health. WE => EQ/EE => Ult => QQ | Easier to hit, combos faster (damage is not delayed), does less damage. You are always going WE when poking or comboing for a kill due to the increased damage it provides, pick your Q's and E's depending on if you can even hit them too, if minions are in the way use the skills that you can target a location not a skill shot obviously lol. EQ: Single Target EE: AoE Target If ult is up always use it 3rd, provides an amazing slow that helps to hit your Q's Poke in lane: WW => QE => Auto => Auto | QE provides a 30% slow to the target making it easier to get those 2 auto attacks off for WW damage and mana regen in lane, QQ is fine too, you just won't have that slow and might miss out on auto attacks. WW => EW => Auto => QW/WW => EW => QQ => Auto | You are just banking on them walking to close to the EW to get rooted with this one, might be good when he releases and people haven't played against him or understand his kit. The rest of his kit is really just utility imo WQ: Great for split pushing, rotating WW: Useful in lane to help mitigate being poked down, makes it easier to farm safely EW: Good for checking brushes/fog of war. Can be used to poke in lane as well or block off areas for control. QE: If you build Rylai's it's a 30% slow that can block off a large area as well.

Looks like a really cool champion actually, I like how they made the skillset like a spellbook, and the champion doesn't seem straight up broken and cheap, so this might be really fun to play! The map changes are cool too, playing botlane normal games with buddy will be a change on red side though, overstaying can be punished way more, probably. (At least from what I have seen so far)

I think e-e then q-e is really good combo for harassing and clearing in the same time.

Use EE Pekin it’s the best one! For wave-clear and landing skill shots with it’s slow .

Stormsurge Rengar, the idea is w into empowered w to quickly burst 35% health out of enemies then strike it to deal bonus damage, built path should be stromsurge into shadowflame then w/e (deathcap?). I think managing your stack is really key in this rengar build, as in you should R and look for squishies in 3 stack for w-> empowerd w. Should be fun to try in top or jungle because the burst potential seems scary

WW QW is a decent poke combo is youre retreating for the bonus damage on root,, then you can turn and Q W them like kogmaw. If your WE is up it helps with the kog like ability because its really pretty long.. other than that its literally just W E prep for QQ and EQ or EE if you can hit it, they do the same damage just easier to land the larger skill shot.. hes really pretty easy to use, your passive is where the damage can really start to ramp because its 2 damaging abilities and you have a lot

I think the EW is underrated. Its actually kinda a point and click CC, it can't miss as long as ennemy steps in the zone.

I can confidently say that this champ is beyond my skill level. I don't think I have the hand dexterity to play them. The crazy new changes to like, everything though, is pretty exciting, even though I'm gonna be a super noob trying to retrain my brain yet again. EDIT: Completely agree about items not just being stat sticks. Sooo much more fun to theorycraft
