a champ that has an ability like briar's W is almost always going to have a low winrate because like 90% if people just push their buttons on cd and that is a terrible w briar

And specifically Q cast on a minion or monster makes the berserk not prioritize champs, which is how you would use W to CS with champs nearby. Though it means using up your stun which is risky. I don’t think Q specifically changes your priority at all if you hit a champ, it’s just that W prioritized the closest champ IIRC and using Q on someone will probably make them the closest champ. Which of course means that as you said ult berserk doesn’t work that way because it prioritizes your ult target only, not just the closest champ.

its sad to know that briar has a low skill floor, but her skill floor is higher than most league player's skill ceiling. briar basically cant run, so only fight when you know you will win. and never fight without e. thats like, basically all you need to know on briar. and people just cant figure it out.

@@_piranha not true in briar's case. Simply reading her abilities and either doing a test in practice tool or watching a youtuber explain their findings is where most of the community fails. Her w is a self taunt. Her e is her only counter to that. The amount of people stating they had no idea what was happening, or their game must be glitching or lagging, simply because they didnt read before randomly pressing buttons, is the entire reason her winrate is so low. Briar is an insanely powerful duelist. She is only held back by the fact that far to many people dont know how to not int.

It makes you need to adapt to a different playstyle (that none of league's other champs have), that, you know, you have to learn ? Because the community will not learn a completely unique champ in just 2 days, even speaking as someone who has never played her ? She's certainly not 35%-tier, but she still got a hotfix buff which was needed.

@@_piranha im not underestimating it at all. The playstyle however isnt that hard to learn. Just have to understand that without flash and/or e up, you are at the mercy of the opponent the moment you press w. So only press w when you know their counterplay options arent available. Or if you believe that their cc isnt going to be enough to kill you first. And that info comes from knowing who you are fighting. Doesnt matter who you are using. Just a base knowledge of "im playing a semi immobile melee champ that runs in a straight line at the enemy" and knowing all the weaknesses behind the fact that dodging anything might not be plausible, so how much damage can i take before this fight isnt going to work? Thats knowledge you can pick up from playing champs like tryn, jax, shyv, warwick, yi, noc, etc. You have a low health pool before you build health options, and dodging is hard without boots, so whats the likelihood of being burst out before briars kit can actually do anything? Thats the skill floor of the champ. Playing the early game knowing that you most likely will be hit with cc, you will run straight at the enemy for 5 seconds, and you are the squish without items. The moment you break past that early game squish, then yea cc doesnt mean nearly as much.

Briar max w has some good AP ratios almost like lux laser

Briar Ult has a very long linear range and the cooldown is lower than expected, like a Lux laser

Better Warwick because the doesn’t lose her bonus move speed when she enters combat XP Seriously, that annoys me so much about Warwick and it makes the poster child for chasedown champs surprisingly easy to escape from

it doesn't, her bleed only applies on autos and abilities. could still be a good option late game but usually you need some resistances first
