I did all my research on chameleons and he is doing so well, I’m upgrading him to a 4x2x4 zen habitats in a couple weeks and I’m getting a rescue Red red foot tortoise soon too. This is my third chameleon and the last two make a burping almost kissing sound. None of the videos cover this noise. I think he does it when he’s happy, but he might do it because he is stressed. It’s not something he does all the time, just every so often. And he doesn’t show any signs of being mad.

Hi I'm Frankie I got my frist Vail chameleon in November of last year. write away he started to come out of his home. He does this maybe ones a week. He likes to go on my head and now he's letting me rub his back not for long because he can be mean! But I love everything about him but I did buy him from Petco what did I now but I got lucky because he is strong and healthy and so beautiful we r very happy. If your chameleon is alive, that's a good sign. Except for when it's not. Lol. I love how particular these guys are. One day, when I'm ready and have built a reasonable enclosure, I dream of working with a veiled chameleon.

My chameleon is a female and she’s been wandering around the enclosure a ton today and yesterday. Her coloring is a little different, but not gravid. The patches that were dark/black before are now light brown. Should I get a lay bin?

How do I know if he's lethargy or not? Does it count even if his eyes are open? I've noticing my chameleon hasn't eat much and always hiding at corner (He just arrived for two weeks). Or it's probably perfectly normal becos he's still scared at new place? Also he's still a baby (around 4 months old I believe)

I noticed my chameleon eating dirt, is this normal?? I put organic soil in the plants.

Any idea if it's good or bad if my chameleon has been sitting in one spot all day? Just FYI it's hardly ever cold in my room or too hot for him. New behavior of his and I've had him for 7 months since his baby state all other signs of illness are none.

My girl has been burrowed in an odd location ( she has 2 additional hides and hasn’t burrowed in a few months ) for 11 days straight now, checked on her daily, just moved the substrate enough to see her head and movement, turns out she’s just going into shed.

So my chameleon is still a baby, brought her home 2 days ago- she’s roaming and sleeping at night, but i dont want to stress her out but I would like her to eat. What is the proper way to tackle this situation? She seems to feel threatened when I try give her food, so not sure how long I should wait?

Quick question, I'm a new veiled chameleon owner and he is still a baby. He must be like 4"-5" long but I had him for 7days now. And he looks healthy and very active but I have a huge concern. He's not eating! And I noticed on the 5th day that he's not opening he's eyes at all and I'm really worried at this point. Becuase I noticed that he has trouble finding vines or leaves to grasp on. And he won't eat becuase he can't see. Should I return it back to the Petco store I bought it from? I feel like maybe he was already sick from the beginning and now I question if the staff or workers from Petco even took good care of these reptiles?🤷🏻‍♂️. I feel so dumb but maybe is just the lack of expertise on chameleons. I feel like I let my Chameleon down at this point. If you can give me any advice, i would really appreciate that😟☹️. A friend of mine wants to give me his 2 year old Male veiled chameleon. He has a beautiful enclosure with everything I've seen recommended, i was wondering if adopting an adult would be worth it with the shorter lifespan? I already said yes pf course and will take care of him regardless! I know even adult guys deserve all the love and care in the world :)
