Isaac Gitau: Businessman, Trucking, Marietta, Georgia, USA. find out why a green card is not necessarily a ticket for greener pastures in the USA. Isaac Gitau, an architect, quit a well-paying job in Kenya only to end up jobless in the USA. He eventually ventured into the logistics business to make ends meet. But he still believes east or west, home is the best.

What bothers me is that when Kenyans are abroad they adhere to the laws strictly but when they come back home they are the ruthless law breakers of all times.

It all depends on leadership and government management. If the lead sheep limp all sheep won't reach the pasture. When michuki was strict with traffic rules all drivers adhered to the rules. Kenyans are ok, Kenyan leaders are the problem.

Yes, Isaac is right! DO NOT LEAVE AFRICA FOR THE WEST IF YOU ARE DOING REASONABLY OK IN AFRICA. Once we went on holidays and decided to visit a friend in Toronto, Canada - because he had sent us glowing letters of how well he was doing there. When we arrived at this very tall tower block where he lived, and rang him to say we had arrived, he never came down to see us. And we had taken him gifts etc. It was then we realised he was perhaps embarrassed to meet us. We also realised that the tower block was in a rough part of Toronto. And by the way, the Toronto bus drivers were not as friendly as Kenya bus drivers.
