Take a dowel the size of funnel drain and shove it in slowly ,no mess

I cannot get at the fill hole on this Craftsman 54 inch because the gas tank is under the seat.There is a youtube on a guy that lifted the seat on his Cub Cadet he had and then used a vaccum extractor to get the old fluid out and then put new fluid in.This guy thinks that is the main reason these transaxles do not make it more than 5 or 6 years. because the fluid gets contaminated.especialy if you use your mower alot.I had mine apart about 2 years ago because it would not go into park and latch.What it was is a small dog that sliped out.I easily fixed that and put it back together and everyone told me to use 10w40.I looks like I will have to take it out and replace the fluid with 20w50.God Bless You Carlos.I like your videos.They are very informative.One more thing is do you know of a nation wide place you can obtain used parts for small engines like a transaxle.

also is there a way to extract the fluid from my Craftsman 54 inch and putting 20w50 in the transaxle without removing the transaxle that you may know about.If so please let me know.

Hey Carlos I took my Craftsman 54 inch transaxle out to fix it and everyone said I should use 10w40 which I did and I notice that it works fine until the mower warms up and then slows down.So now I watch several videos and everyone is using 20w50.Do you suppose that may be why I have that trouble.
