This was the 1st single taken from their 1981 album "Miracles", featuring lead vocals by Diva Gray. Here in a specially stretched version taken from the German 12" release which is slightly different from the US version. Enjoy!

Just found this song. Ain't heard this in almost 30 years! My mind is now flooded with so many memories of that time. Out playing with my friends on the block, warm summer Saturday, someone blasting their stereo speakers out the window, not a care in the world, none of today's mess going on....man, what I would give to go back in time to those days!!!!

Change’s Paradise, is a masterpiece. In pop music history, the opening of this song (featuring an augmented, brilliant slap bass guitar performance) is instantly recognizable . The lead vocalist, had the voice of an angel. You’ll wanna hear it, over and over again. One of the best songs of the 80’s. Unforgettable music. Awe inspiring, spiritual, magical, epic pop music history. Music to climb mountains to... is Change.

CHANGE was one of the most phenomenal and prolific groups of the 80s. It is regrettably understandable why some folks cannot appreciate their music let alone understand it. Their musically artistry is far ahead some people's musical taste. As a disc jockey back in the 80s, I had the amazing privilege of spinning all their records. "Paradise" will always remain a true classic for many years to come. Amazing vocal arrangement as always.

Change was an Italian-American post-disco group formed in Bologna, Italy, in 1979 by businessman and executive producer Jacques Fred Petrus (1949-1986) and Mauro Malavasi (1957). They were heavily influenced by the legendary disco band Chic. Heaven of My Life" is a 1981 album cut by Change from the LP Miracles, which featured vocals by Diva Gray, Jocelyn Shaw, Tanyayette Willoughby and James Robinson on leads, and Luther Vandross, Crystal Davis, Ullanda McCullough, Benny Diggs, Dennis Collins and Fonzi Thornton providing the backups. The song also featured a unique guitar breakdown performed by Doc Powell. Along with "Paradise" and "Hold Tight", it became a number-one single on the US dance chart for five weeks. It was released as a promotional single in October 1981

Perhaps one of the top three ultimate couples hustles. Clubbing in New York back in the day, mmhmmm, this track would start with that bass riff and it was elbows and legs until the dominant two or three pairs cleared the floor and didn't a fool dare do anything but watch and slowly, thoroughly, intensely learn the bittersweet joy of envy. Change inspired us and we inspired those who found in themselves the desire to learn the intimacy of dance. Forever one of the most ecstatic memory triggers of my days in the fight against the death of true couples on a dance floor ... we lost to the posers and moshers and the narcissistic mirror divas but damn we fought the good fight and this track was one of our best loved calls to battle.
