QUOTES:
“Your life doesn’t end up an accident. Your life is a series of actions that you initiate or don’t initiate.” [7:58]
“I’m totally cool with guilt. It’s good that we feel bad when we do something that is below our standards or that’s not right.” [22:29]
“The world completely underestimates the power of visualization, completely misutilizes the human power of contemplation. The number one thing I say to my clients: Going through the motions is the death of high performance.” [25:15]
“Emotion is not something you have. Emotion is something you generate.” [31:00]
“I don’t attract assholes. I’m too annoying. I’m too happy for them. There’s too much positive psychology happening so all the assholes say, ‘I don’t like that guy.’ They don’t come to my seminars. They don’t buy my stuff. I repel all the jerks.” [41:05]

Changing my thoughts changed my entire life... I was unfulfilled working a job i hated, not making much money, and felt very stuck in life. Fortunately, I was able to reprogram my mind because of content like this. As well as hiring coaches and mentors, and feeding my mind the best stuff out there. Now I live abroad, have my own business, have more than tripled my income, live with freedom, but more importantly, I'm happy and healthy. There is nothing more rewarding than helping others on their journey

@intra love this...how long did it take you to go from stuck to free? Did you change your perspective on the job you hated so you can still earn a living whilst changing your mindset to then eventually quit and move on? This is so interesting to me. Im exactly like this and know i will get out of this job i hate but ive hd to change how i feel about it first in order to change my outlook and move forward. I also have to be a responsible single parent with an income to survive so it seems like it taking me longer to get there. I have a 5 year goal I just finished my 2nd year towards freeing myself....what was your experience? Any advice as i chug along will be greatly appreciated! Cheers my friend

I recently found Brendon Burchard and I immediately loed him. A lot of coaches tend to be one dimensional. And over the years of my personal development and journey I have learned to not listen to them all the time. Most coaches romanticize the idea of hustle too much. They completely ingore that people tend to burnout. People, and I mean 99% people will fail at some point of their life and if they don't have any friends, family, self love and positivity within them they will most probably die. Purpose and hustling is important but we also need to promote the idea of self acceptance. The idea of enjoying your little wins, taking a break sometimes, really spending time with people you love, recharging yourself emotionally, etc. There's a lot of important pillars and aspects of being happy and maintaining your emotional ecosystem. There's always Yin & Yang in our lives. Always.

This reminds me of David Brooks's formula of living for your obituary instead of living for your resume. Rather than chasing virtues in hope of impressing people around us, pursue virtues that will allow us to live on in the hearts and minds of people whom we can inspire to keep the flame of our purpose and mission alive.

The one thing that I caught my attention was at the very end of the interview. When Tom compliments Brendon, the question that comes out of his mouth is, "Was it good?" This message will remain relevant. My takeaways are be very intentional and specific about your day. Plan where you want to be, use your planner strategically, write it down, say it out loud and tackle your weak areas directly. I also loved it when Brendon said his personality repels a**holes. I love the ending where Brendon says not to leave your goals to randomness. I will take that with me forever. ❤

DETECTING PATTERNS is KEY for those of us in transition from past harming patterns. WE need to key into the specific phrases that continue to give us an un-easy gut reaction. TIP: 1. Make an inventory of these statements. 2. Make it mandatory to combat this with WORDS TO YOURSELF that are accurate and kind. 3. Create and recite an affirmation each morning, specific to you, detailing you deserve happiness. BEST PRACTICES and WISHES to us ALL!

Honestly this is the first one that I feel like I just started and it’s over. When Tom said what’s the impact you want on the world I was like wait what? First time listening to him. Looking forward to diving into Brendon’s world.

Such a great interview! I love when he said yelling your ambitions out and not feeling sorry about it. That is what I need to learn and I will start here in the comments. I love comedy and would love to perform on a stage! That is one of my goals for 2020. :)

I thought this imagination is the real power in creating things but thinking through ahead. Manifestation from within first before manifestation in this space and time. This is the absolute tool to life. this interview is such gold for real.

Making coffee is an unconscious ritual that I have in the morning. I started this video when I started making coffee and breakfast. Ended up getting totally caught up and forgot to make the coffee lol. Now I am making a conscious choice to finish making this cup AND go tackle the important things for my goals today.
