On Today's Episode:
Running into another roadblock and another obstacle shouldn’t come as a surprise. As you cycle through all of the reasons (a.k.a. excuses) you have for not making a change again today, doesn’t get you off the hook either. The changes you want to make in your life, that feeling of not amounting too much, the irritation in your gut that you should be further along than you are isn’t going to go away.
If you’re waiting for change to magically happen when you wake up one day and start getting everything right, you’re in for a rude awakening.
In this episode Tom is running down all of the ways you can be more powerful, you can change your habits, and you can become masterful at any skill you choose.
You have to with your mindset and you have to develop the tools that will keep you on track when your willpower and motivation fail you, cause they will. Success isn’t a guarantee, but failure, struggle, hardships, obstacles, and a thousand excuses to quit are guaranteed. So what are you going to do?
Break out your pen, find some time alone and get real with yourself. Where are you at? What’s one habit holding you back that you can begin to let atrophy? Let’s start there and get to work? Your full potential is waiting!
Books mentioned in this episode:
Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks

thank you.. for this and the episode with michael saylor. i was sitting in a broken heart head and body state... and ready to give up. I had 2 people in the past week commit suicide and i was thinking maybe that should be my way out ... and i said no.. the anxiety and depression of being homeless and losing it all and I was blaming the landlord for the wrongful eviction. Excuses Excuses but i had to say you know if my mind was right and my body was right i would have known that i needed help and that my concussion was a brain injury and i need to have assistance because if i had acknowledged my brain was not as strong as i used to be and its ok to ask for help. i had to look nakedly at my inadequacy i listen to this just shy of my birthday and a day before i have to go battle in court with landlord. and i know i can say instead of attacking with anger for this man and the things he has lied and done wrong. I was going to just roll over and give up but i know now what i have to go to the meeting with is the truth and gratitude. Even thou I am here homeless. i am grateful It has given me insight to a broken system that i can now start to advocate for people that end up in this position .so im grateful.for the stories from the homeless and see that they didn't know of the resources to get help . when i go to arbitration when i speak with truth and no exaggeration and grind in. then instead of giving up and just use the resources that are there. Use the knowledge and use the skills i have already trained to dig in and use my power to slay the dragon. Time to dig deep and make that world my reality. thanks for the boost #mydoubtisNotmyweakness #icandoit. #icanbeseen

Good vid. I play guitar and sing at local nursing homes and there is a transformation that takes place as they hear their favorite songs. They go from sad and sullen when they come in the room to smiling and singing along in 20 minutes. Makes my heart warm. I quit drinking and lost 100lbs (carnivore) in 2022 at 52 with goals for the future in mind after getting burned out in the IT world in corporate America. I'm confident the next 20 years are going to be the best of my life, and will provide my family with the best me they have ever had. Resources like Tom and JP help me stay focused and remember I'm not alone. Good luck to all going for it in 2023. I hope you succeed and bring a few others along.

Thanks Tom. I cannot express how important this video is to me at this moment. I have been wallowing in depression for quite sometime. For some reason I had forgotten, I am in charge of my decisions. When I heard your words that we are the the boss of our lives (paraphrasing). I simply commanded my stubborn self, to get out of bed, get my gym clothes on, head to the gym. I have learned negative self talk is only the rank and file trying to tell the CEO what to do. No more, I am the boss and the negative thoughts of discouragement and indecision are ruled over, no matter how much they scream and cry. I know longer listen to their complaining. I am in control and they better get used to it.

I needed this. I've been struggling with sobriety (no porn, weed, alc) and felt a calling to document my journey on KZfaq. Knowing how difficult this journey has been for me (after relapsing HUNDREDS of time), I wanted to create videos so others could relate. It sounds silly writing this but once I am sober for a longer period of time, my dream is to help others with their journey. I would love to somehow monetize on this so that I can quit my 9-5 and do something that truly resonates with my soul. There are definitely days when I doubt myself and wonder if it's all worth it but I have to keep reminding myself that it's better than smoking weed, drinking alcohol, and watching porn all day.

this is a summary of the Video using an AI tool.. pretty impressive. In this video, Tom Bilyeu suggests that in order to break bad habits and achieve success, it's important to understand that the way to break bad habits is by letting them atrophy and replacing them with new habits. He recommends using pattern interruptions to stop yourself in the middle of a negative behavior, and then replacing that behavior with a new habit that you are motivated to do because it aligns with your goals and values. He also emphasizes the importance of having a clear vision of what you want to achieve, and using that vision to fuel your motivation and drive.
