Lucky you! Mine has 180k and has a blown head gasket. How much would you guess they want to change a head gasket on a 4 cylinder 2006 Tacoma? WRONG! $6,000....That's not a typo. SIX GRAND! So much for tacomas being bulletproof!

If you don’t have a magnetic 5/8 socket to get the plug out after you loosen it…just use the old coil. Put it back in the hole and it should grab the top of the spark plug.

At 3:45 what vacuum line is that? I had a shop change my spark plugs and they put in under the bracket that was in front of you then with 2 bolts a few days ago pinching it and I got the P2441 and P2445 codes basically saying the valve was stuck open on my secondary air injection system and the pump was stuck off. I fixed the vacuum line and removed the negative battery cable for ten minutes and the trac off light and check engine light were gone but it still through those codes. Do you think that vacuum line being squeezed shut could of ruined the secondary air injection system pump?

@@AngladaFamilia I'm a total novice, so need to ask, when disconnecting battery, just the negative terminal or both. I can look online, but a little confusing, as what is necessary to prevent possible electrical damage to vehicle when doing repairs. Thank you again for your help!

Was the 5/8" socket magnetic, or did it have a rubber piece in it to grasp the sparkplug porcelain? Also wonder how many miles it had on it, since those plugs look pretty worn out.

I'm looking at getting a Tacoma I was wanting a v6 because I live on a plateau with some hills but alot of the ones I'm seeing has the 2.7 in it I was wondering how the power of the 2.7
@AngladaFamilia4 жыл бұрын
It has plenty of power for me, not being a speed demon, and not needing to tow anything, (other than my mountain bike). Mine is manual transmission, so the first 2 gears are a little slow, like an 18 wheeler 😎
@Cody-gu8li4 жыл бұрын
@@AngladaFamilia alrighty sounds good to me and yeah I'm not looking for a speed demon or doing any heavy duty towing just enough power to get up the mountains and hills without struggling
@retrographics67593 жыл бұрын
@@Cody-gu8li just be sure to get the 4wd models, the low 4 is a godsend in snow and muddy hills. the v6 will get you more towing power, but if you aren't towing, there isn't much need for the bigger engine. My 2007 is hitting 160k this year, it's a M/T so you can really pull more power out of the engine at times.

My 2006 tacomba suddenly had the engine light flashing and running a little rough. The engine light flashes for awhile then stays on a bit and starts flashing again. I hope its not bad news. I don't think it is, but you never know. Anyone had this happen before?? Any ideas?.
@AngladaFamilia7 ай бұрын
Sounds like an issue with ignition. Plus it's coil. Misfiring. Take it to AutoZone, have them scan it for codes.
