brilliant series on the Titan planer/thicknesser Dean mate. I have one of these and it took me ages to get it to turn on and stay on. It was down to not having the dust extractor on correctly in the beginning. So I kept my finger on the start button to keep it runnig and turned the thicknesser thingy until it clicked just enough to keep ut running. What happened was it chewed part of the plastic up and it came flying out in the wash tbh.. LMAO but ni it's working fine atm. This is a decent little machine tbh. I got some really nice finishes on lengths of hardwood pallet wood.. The wood was manky looking bcos of the age of it and years of use I suppose but this little bad boy planer cleaned it up to a tee. I also have a huge problem with the fence. I cannot lock it down bcos one of those yellow plastic jobbys cracked. I need to find oneline soon or otherwise I wil have to weld it or someth to keep it from ever moving and I won't be using the 45 angle anyways so maybe I just need to weld it down to the 90 degree angle for good? I'm in the process of kitting out my shop over the Xmas hols. I will be building my proper workbench and making some shelving and cabinets also. Plus some wall mounted tool areas. I'm also going to take a stab at building my 1st ever CNC Router too btw. Have u ever used one mate? Check these things out if u havent.. They can do some awesome designs on wood or even maybe a CNC Laser would be a good investment ofr ur business if u get it moving bro.. They're cheap enough to buy on sites now. I bought a Laser engraver for 230 euros but now I have to wait for it to be delivered. They ran out of stock so I have to wait for it to come back in. It's been a month now but i think it'll be well worth the wait bro,, Amazon and Banggood do some great ones if ur interested in looking into that

I don't own a thickness planer yet. They do throw off a lot of shavings! I have a small workshop and would need to set it up outside. For now, I buy surface planed timbers. If I need to joint an edge, my table saw can do it.

Dean I just had fun cleaned my blades on my titan haven’t got the setting tool put it all back best I can and Not certain a load of black very thin shavings came out and didn’t sound good emergency stop hit they w ere either metal or plastic change the fuse but very loud first time using it so don’t know how loud it normally is. I changed clothing 😂😂 almost dived looking for slit trench. I made sure it wasn’t hitting anything and turned it no sound when turning and just ordered new blades and can’t get the setting tool as no spares other than blades and belts. Any advice or suggestions cheers steve👨🏼‍🦽

Just a thought on the "sound proofing" ....would the insulation work on the outside to dampen the vibration etc.

Hi can I ask you on your thicknesser the bit your bed sits on when fully down on does yours have a couple of divots and a nylon nut on it. Mine are on right as you face the Titan opposite end to the winding Handel

Hi Dean, nice series of videos! Quick question... I bought a titan table saw and it only works when I have the ON switch pressed in and the saw stops working when I remove it. Am I overlooking something or is it just faulty? I bought it this week and haven't been able to use it because of this problem. Cheers!
