Kudos to you man, but newer models A8L is pain to replace PS. Subframe and axle should be removed in order to have access to the PS pump.

Just bought an 06 A8L and have to do pump also. I’m taking front clip off to get easier access

That can make things easier or it could take twice as long. The way we did it we didn’t have to remove a whole lot. Just jacked it up onto jack stands and went to work. I hope our video helps you in some way.

@@2brokeurowners672 oh def will take longer. But a lot easier to get to anything. I personally just hate right areas to work on. So took Clíp off

Loud "whine" sound, and resistance when trying to turn the wheel.

Where did you get the pump? What part number did you have one it? How much was it? How long did the replacement take?HEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLPPP! 😢

We got the pump from RockAuto.com. It was an aftermarket ULTRA-POWER pump. That part number is 21191 The OEM interchange number is 4E0145155N. After tax and shipping, it was $97. Unfortunately, I don't remember how long this job took.

This is my first import I work in a shop and have for years I'm taking that bumper off or jacking up the motor I don't do well in spaces that tight

It really isn’t that tight. You just gotta use the eyes on your fingers to get some of the bolts.
