I am an avid Jund player. I love learning from Reid (aka the Grandmaster) this much jund and with this serious of a competition was a great way to really understand the logic behind every play. Watching on twitch and seeing the games is never the same. Keep it up Reid! Love the content. JUND EM OUT! I will never give up on jund being top tier

Lucarioguild7 I wonder how the deck fares against other common archetypes. People don't seem to run much gy hate these days so post-board games should be decent.
@Lucarioguild7
@Lucarioguild7 6 жыл бұрын
Alkoholwioslaidziwki Well living end dodges most common gy hate, I was thinking more along the lines of a living end getting countered or remanded is such a feel bad. Counter spells make living end a fair creature deck which gets hosed real bad

Scrolled down just to see if anyone else spotted that. No idea what the rest of that turn should have been but fulminator on his own swamp seemed like a good start.
@holypriests12
@holypriests12 6 жыл бұрын
Hmm, it looks like a better line @ 2:47:40 would be to play Dark Confidant, play the verdant catacombs instead of the raging ravine. This would leave up Kolaghan's Command mana. When his opponent attacks, Reid can sac the Fulminator to kill his Overgrown Tomb, block a Street Wraith with Blood Braid Elf. At the end of turn, Kolaghan's Command the damaged Street Wraith, getting back Blood Braid Elf. This line at least gets another Cascade trigger to find a Maelstrom or a removal for the other creatures. However, if Reids opponent finds another cascade card, Reid would be in the same position he's in now.

This awesome deluge of content from Reid and Ben S, along with the always great, ever present veedios has made one thing clear imo - CFB could really use a Brad Nelson or BBD style standard specialist player to round out their regular lineup.

At 2:48:50 I could see, k command the spirit guide (with discard or rebuy fulminator after this next bit) first then liliana to make them sac the horror, fulminator your own overgrown tomb (only swamp) and double block one of the wraiths going to 1 after the catacomb fetch for a basic forest. then you are still on top deck hope mode

My goodness 😮! Reid annilated his first round opponent. All of Reid draws were godly. First match, the wrath of bbe. Second match, hand disruption lead to LotV, LtlH and Fulminator Mage deadly combination was too much. All though this video is nearly two years old, Reid is having more fun. He still is just seen more analyzing and observing.. Which is also a good thing.

Would it have been worthwhile to blow up your Overgrown Tomb (only Swamp) with Fulminator in the face of the Street Wraiths? Maybe not with the blockers available, but it's tempting to turn of the Swampwalk.

I agree, i was about to comment the same thing. not that it would have accomplished much, but at least he would have left himself with the out of drawing a big creature to keep the situation at stalemate for the time being. then edicts, then removals, who knows.

You played so well, the whole tournament. Then the misplay with the Fulminator Mage, followed almost immediately by the misplay with the Thoughtseize, (don't cast it!) followed by no sac on the Overgrown Tomb? That made the Magic Baby Jesus cry... Still, 7-1 up until that point, and Living End is a notoriously difficult deck to play against. Glad I got to see all that.

2:49:00 how about this line: tap OTomb for mana, sac Fulminator, kill your only swamp. kolaghans command choosing 2 dmg to spirit guide, return fulminator, liliana edict. Then have bob and BBE to double block one of the remaining 2 creatures; go to your turn 7 with Fulminator in hand, possibly lili in game and a Ravine with mana in play.

at 56:00 you shouldve fetched the Blood Crypt instead of the OTomb given the amount of Red Burn you might wanna unload in a single turn, once the opponent tapped out eot f.e. this would've prevented him from seeing 12 new cards on their turn 8

Reid do you think 4 bolts is overkill now? Perhaps a 2 push 3 bolt split. And I saw the dreadbore in the main. Wondering how you like it over a second terminate seeing as your running 2 maelstrom pulse.
@pytawidmo
@pytawidmo 6 жыл бұрын
I believe it's about making bad match-ups better for the lowest cost, and worst case scenario Bolt can go directly at your opponent if they have no creatures, while Push would be a dead card. Also, there is now a lot of creatures not answered by the Push, while Bolt can at least be used as a combat trick to get a trade. I also like Dreadbore instead of 2nd Terminate, since Jund is often played sorcery speed anw, and Teferi or Karn answered for just 2 mana feels good.
