Cette chanson méritait mieux que la 10e place qu'elle a obtenue. Au moins un top 5 aurait été de mise. Bravo à ce chanteur d'avoir pris le risque d'aller à l'eurovision alors qu'en 1988, il avait déjà une très belle carrière.

Ohlala, quel vote !!! Il y avait un suspens incroyable ce soir-là ! Eh oui, merci pour les 12 points récompensant une belle chanson et un grand artiste. C'est la Yougoslavie qui finalement a détenu et décidé de l'issue du vote cette année-là.

This performance reached the 10th place out of 21 countries. Top 10: that's quite good! Gérard Lenorman has always been one of my very fav' French singers: he's so sensiitive, subtle, romantic when he sings. He does this way with any song he performs. He had a lot of hit singles in his career, mostly in the 1970's. Moreover, most of his songs are really well-composed with beautiful tunes & meaningfull lyrics. The mid & late 80's were a challenging time for Lenorman: success was missing much more often than in the 70's. French main media regarded him as a has-been & cheesy artist. It was good to propose this singer to perform on stage at Eurovision: this man could show what he could do. Even if he didn't win he obviously earned a place in the audience's heart: we can hear it through people's loud applause at the end of the performance. Besides, Gérard Lenorman received 12 points from Yugoslavia at the very end of the voting, what allowed Switzerland to win the contest that year. Those 12 points were a great honour given to an artist who completely deserved it. During the voting France was given points several times (with one 8 & one 10 ).

1979...our French teacher decided a good way to teach us the language would be to play French pop music to us. We studied the lyrics of Gérard Lenorman's "Voici les Clés" and "Michèle". I loved the songs so much I asked the teacher if I could borrow the LP, and I've been a fan of Lenorman ever since.

WONDERFUL SONG, EXCELLENT ORCHESTRAL ARRAGEMENT and GREAT PERFORMANCE. This song is seemed to the song of succesful movie "Moon lighting", although I prefer "Chanteur". WAS MY WINNER, was underrated (except by yugoslav jury that finally gave him 12 points).

Delivered exceptionally and performed as if by a conductor of the lyrics. This song summed up well a few of the songs in Eurovision which are, basically stories of 3 times nothing which rhyme badly but make you feel good. I'd like to say this was beaten by history on the night, by the launch of Celine Dion on the Grand Stage, but how can one find at least 8 better songs on that very night is questionable. Discovering Lenorman that night was actually one of the great things ever! To me, that's what Eurovision is all about, discovering talents from other countries, not winners.

Je me rappelle cette chanson. J´étais assise dans mon canapé, chez moi, à Madrid, et soudain je vois...Gérard Lenorman...Gérard Lenorman? ce n´es t pas vrai! Gérard Lenorman? j´étais vraiment touchée, car j´aime beaucoup ce chanteur. Je voulais absolument qu´il gagne, même au dessus l´Espagne...j´adore Gérard Lenorman. Bon, il n´a pas gagné, mais il nous a laissé une belle interprétation, et une belle chanson. Salut l´artiste.

@@JoseM25160 Tampoco hay que olvidarse de "Michèle", se ganó muchas fans femeninas en los 70 y hasta actuó en los estudios de TVE en Prado del Rey.

@@herrprofessor Hola, imposible olvidarse sobre todo de "Michèle" es la canción internacionalmente mas conocida, en España fue un bombazo y recuerdo perfectamente en la mayoría de Discotecas Madrileñas a la hora de " lo lento" estuvo sonando, hasta que ese tipo de baile desapareció (por desgracias) sobre los 90's aprox. Referente a su actuación en TVE , no tenia conocimiento, primero porque sobre esos años 70's como dices, no estaba aun en España, por supuesto numero 1 en France donde la escuche la primera vez. Si creo haber visto (muchos descargados) todos sus vídeos por KZfaq y no encuentro esa actuación de TVE. Gracias por la información y un saludo.

le dernier pays à avoir voté (la Yougoslavie) a donné 12 points à cette chanson permettant à Céline Dion de remporter pour la Suisse le Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1988

Je suis d accord que 10e c est pas mérité. Lenorman est un monument de la chanson française. Un monument. Au même titre que Brassens Ferré Barbara ou Nougaro.

Abrahán Sáez Sánchez Me encanta Gérard Lenorman y me alegré mucho cuando retomaron su Petite Valse en Camping 3 en la voz de Louka Meliava. Un gran artista con inolvidables canciones que ya son parte de la vida de cada francés.
