All I have found out about Roger Bens is that he began his singing experience in a church choir. He tried twice for Eurovision : 1984 with the group Victoire which didn't qualify as France's entry and then 1985 with this song. No date of birth , no details of a continued career, no further videos other than of this song from 85. A lot has been said here about his nerves in this performance , but this might have been the biggest , most important event this young singer had ever tackled so some nerves can surely be forgiven? His voice sounds more settled in the clip used as a contest preview and his recording it is true, however live performance is always challenging. I think he did well. He had a distinctive rapid vibrato in his voice which was exagerrated a bit here, possibly by the nerves and tension, but over all he gave a good performance . The song arrangement is great.

Je me rappelle de cette chanson: j'ai accroché dès les premières notes. Je ne comprends pas bien la dixième place obtenue. Au moins un podium aurait eu tout son sens. Merci à la Grèce qui avait attribué 12 points.

great voice and arrangement but unfortunately singer's stage position was nervous and song was a little boring because of "femme" repetitions.
