@@JASHIKO_ road bikes in the 200kg range are fine. We do that to turn the bike around as well. I even saw a guy do that on a GS1000. Side stands are stronger than they look

It's ok if the kickstand is on the frame, wouldn't do anything, but some bikes like ducati have the kickstand on the crankcase, you can brake it with this method. ALso it's better to put the lub inside the chain instead of outside

Adding to the pushing the bike backwards. If you’re pushing it this way, you have no way of braking. Solution: Leave it in gear & hold the clutch in to roll. Release the clutch to stop.🤙🏼

Free hack/tip: Dig around your closet and find an extra luggage strap, guitar strap, or anything like that. Fold it up flat and tuck it in your riding bag or jacket pocket, and when you get off the bike, loop it through your chin bar or chin strap and boom. Instant carry strap for your bucket. You can wear it crossbody and stuff your gloves in it, take off your jacket and drape it over the helmet too. Simple and extremely effective. Personally, I use an old guitar strap and a neat carabiner and I just loop mine through the ratchet strap so the helmet hangs more level and less likely to drop a glove out. It's such a simple and easy hack, and takes up almost no space. Really worth it.

Another greasy hands tip: Soak your hands in liquid dish soap and let it dry before starting the work. It soaks into your hands and helps prevent grease, oil, dirt, etc from getting into all the little spaces in your hands. Mind you with Covid 19, most people have nitrile or latex gloves around the house now - I highly recommend those over anything else.

Walking the bike: use the engine to walk the bike forward, it conserves energy. Also during U turns on slopes, reverse downhill and use the engine to go uphill. Always use the clutch as the main stopping mechanism while reversing downhill, the front brake has very little bite on those conditions.

And just as in all walks of life, there are good and bad. Get two wheels! Bikers, real bikers that is, will always support another bike rider. It’s doesn’t matter what you ride- from scooters to goldwings (😄👌) , two wheels good👍😄😄

Since I've started riding I learnt a few tricks to ease my life: *glasses cleaning wipes* I buy them in bulk as they are cheap an effective. I stuck them everywhere from my backpacks to my documents. They cost next to nothing and are perfect to wipe your visor, googles, phone, headlamp or even hands or inside of your helmet as they contain alcohol so they kill germs and smell nice. *Little bicycle tool kit* again something cheap and handy. They cost just around one or two pounds and work on almost all screws on your motorbike. Heck, bike is a bike. It's cheap I take it :) *Strapping helmet to belt loop* works best on micrometric straps and on beltloopy pants :) Sometimes I use tensioner strap from my jacket but I prefer to use the belt loop. This works best if you need to carry second helmet for a short ride or you go on a short walk as helmet will pull your pants and wiggle around. All in all useful but not always

When I had a cruiser I wasn’t able to use a motorcycle lift or paddock stands to lift rear end. So I used a ratchet strap and a car Jack. One hook wrapped around the left fork. The other hooked to kickstand while down. Tighten just enough so the kickstand can’t move. Then I used a car Jack and lifted from the opposite side on a sturdy part of frame. Lifted the bike just enough to get the rear tire off the ground so I could do rear maintenance.

QUICK TIP: If you don’t like walking your bike backwards out of parking spots… When you pull into a spot, get off and lean the bike towards you like he does in this video to lube his chain, only get the both tires off the ground and spin the bike on the kickstand 180degrees towards the front of the bike and boom now you’re ready to ride out of the spot and it only took 2-4 seconds. I’ve done this on sport bikes, dual sports, and dirt bikes. The easiest was on the heavier sport bikes.

1. This video is tips for beginners. Spinning wheel of death vs newbie = bad times. 2. 99% of lubes on the market need at least a half second to dry. Even at idle in 1st it will sling off. 3. Do you really want to be hanging out around the hot RUNNING exhaust while spraying a flammable product? Just one exhaust pop away from turning your chain lube into a fairing scorching flame thrower.
