Its practically an active game like jumping rope.. Not nearly important enough to, dont worry lmao Plus, being able to do something “a 4 y.o can do” isnt really much of an accomplishment. I’m sure theres other things you’re good at, thats actually a useful tool or something 👍 Some also seem to forget how much harder it is for older ppl to move like a child again in general, & do those things as fluidly. I liked Madonna when I was a kid (during the Ray of Light, Confessions, Music, Hard Candy era) but I'm convinced she lost relevance due to her tendency to balance and uplift her career off of leaning into drama and controversy, which itself isn't NECESSARILY bad, but once the social media era began, she became unable to responsibly use hype, drama, media ties, etc. in a way that didn't feel... just... wrong. While yes, Bitch She's Madonna (pun intended) what do we REALLY know about Madonna? She hasn't ever proven herself in a meaningful way to the current generation which typically bases it's fanhood on personalities, which Madonna has practically worn all of at this point, giving younger people little insight on what kind of person Madonna is, other than a long running superstar. Personally, idc what Madonna's doing anymore, but I still acknowledge the work she's done and the boundaries of culture she's pushed.

For context of the show Fergie was on - and more importantly the grandma in the audience - it’s like a morning news show based in NYC at NBC Rockefeller Center, with real news but also fluffy time filler segments because it lasts pretty much the whole morning so it’s everything from “recipes for your Arbor Day celebration” to incredibly, Fergie going HARD live in concert first thing in the morning. And every morning their audience is just whoever shows up to the outdoor space at the studio and passes the security/producer check and it’s usually just tourists who are there to vibe but the type of tourists who only catch a vibe at 8 am - but you actually gotta get there even earlier than that to get a spot at the barrier to be seen on TV by your family back home in the middle of nowhere USA 😅 so you make a sign that’s like “HI TO MY FAMILY IN BEAVER BUSH, IOWA!!!” To try to get the newscasters/hosts to come up and talk to you during the audience interview segments. Producers mingle with the crowd during the in-studio segments and then might put you on camera if you are ~chosen👑✨~ And let me finish this by saying absolutely none of this is a read on today show audience members because I am from Nowhere Kentucky and have been to NYC exactly twice and both times I made time to go to the today show but didn’t manage to go to the Empire State Building. My 20th birthday I saw a matinee of Wicked but I started my day huddled with my bestie - who drove us the entire 10+ hours to New York! - and randomly saw John Stamos and got a book cause they producers knew it was my bday but we didn’t have any signs or anything 🤣 so they just felt bad and gave me one of the free books from another guest that day to just be holding in the crowd for those shots. Cause you just show up you have NO IDEA who or what the show is gonna be about that day unless you are an active fan of the person and know to be there that day for that reason way in advance. All that to say TLDR, that granny showed up thinking it was going to maybe be Alton Brown baking a pumpkin pie and then got to witness Fergie being an absolute machine on stage and the rest is history 😭

Imo how the levels should be structured: Level 1- More or less what was went over in this vid Level 2- Moments well known on Stan Twitter, often pop up in “Messy Pop Star moment” type threads. Examples: Carly Rae Jepsen’s tea event, “I thought this song was big in Germany” Level 3- Known amongst popheads and spaces more dedicated to pop music & pop culture, not really known or discussed outside of those groups Level 4- Pop culture lore rarely ever acknowledged if at all, likely forgotten or just not really known about in the first place

I was a wee little girl in the 90’s as I was born in 89 but growing up with MTV perpetually on the TV where my sister and I played and made believe has truly contributed to my warped reality. Help me. MTV in the 90s was such a chaotic place in itself. Edit: OMG the way Madonna thought she was about to get decked by the ball of recklessness that was 90s Courtney Love was PALPABLE

i can’t believe you didn’t elaborate more on witness live, she was livestreaming her life for a whole week straight, including when she slept, and james corden was there and made her do fill your guts or spill your guts and she had to rank how good her famous exes were at sex and she took like ten minutes to answer the question, i was watching this as it happened and it was giving me second hand embarrassment
