Lake Chapala, Mexico based artist Deborah Kruger connects the impact of climate change with language & habitat loss, local and endangered birds, and other environmental themes using recycled materials in her sculptures. We took a tour of her current traveling museum show Avianto, currently exhibited at The Train Station, a cultural arts center in the town of Chapala, on Lake Chapala (Mexico's largest lake), an hour outside of Guadalajara, Mexico's second largest city. Chapala is part of a thriving arts scene along the lakeside towns that include Ajijic, with a large expat community of gringos from the United States, Canada, & other countries.
