Jeez, Grant!!! Flipping loved this chat you and Jase just had. I remember your Dad with a Cane hitting our hands in the turns when we didn't use the front brake as a trigger down at Springfield. On those training days. I still dine out on the time you came back from the world champs and raced a Regional up in Eshowe, Zululand. You borrowed a bike, gave us a all a lap headstart than reeled us all in then proceeded to lap all of us 🤣!!! I got the meagre priveledge of saying I used to race against you but in reality I existed on the same track at the same time.... You owned us!!! Big shout out to you Bud, its been one of life's pleasures watching you Kick the World's ass!!!

I loved this podcast. I have listened to it all the way through several times. I live close to Langston's shop and my brother and I have each bought bikes from them. I really knew nothing about Grants career and the family struggles and I find it really inspiring. I was one of Langston's early customers when they first opened in Elsinore and his mother gave me a discount on a Thor carbon fiber helmet. She still remembers me and asks how I'm doing. Thanks for this podcast I really enjoyed it and will listen to again I'm sure.

Awesome discussion with Grant, as a South African it was especially interesting hearing the whole story. Seeing as you've had a few Downhill riders on your show, it would be awesome to have Greg Minnaar on, also a South African from the same region as Grant. He rides MX (of course) but is widely regarded as the GOAT of DH and similar back story of struggle and sacrifice that Grant has

This was a great podcast. I am very glad you two spoke about Grant having to leave over the COVID bs but also very thankful it didn't take up the whole podcast. True fans of the sport absolutely love to hear about the behind-the-scenes testing stories and the history of the riders. Thank you Grant for expanding on your past in Europe and South Africa, awesome!! By the way, thanks for the autograph, it was either 06' or 07' at Budds Creek.

Bagget, Rattray and Wilson... where was 'ride to survive' back in the day? Moto throws out way more compelling storylines within championships than F1/F2/F3 could dream of!!! CR22 vs the world, real story of the people *hating* to the people *loving* you... a direct contrast to the results. So many great stories apart from JM2/RC4/JS7/RD5/RV2...... Show me another motorsport with the opportunity (unfulfilled) to tell *great* stories of *great people* who succeded, but may have missed the pinnacle.

ASDE needs to branch out to hard enduro, could rip 3 or 4 different types of course easy.... FNQ/NT wet season, WA Hot and Dry, Tas west coast, Vic snowy's, NSW ranges. QLD dustbolw.... there are literally 100's of terrains to choose from in Aus.

JS7 wasn't the *only* dude uncorking mad quads back in the day... RC4, (TF15), CR22, DV12, KW14, MB3.... and who can forget ML7 sending the Red Bud triple to be named after him... there is simply zero opportunity to send things like the riders of old used to... everyone is sooooo close, and supercross (and Motocross) tracks are designed to be ridden in a certain manner, without the options that used to be available.

@@natemiller448 not so much that I misssed it, I caught it, it was a full commitment, balls out *send* . The point I was making was that "back in the day" late 2 stroke/early 4 stroke era, when the bikes were harder to ride, there were plenty of people sending it big, indoors and out. Not just JS7. Tracks weren't buillt like they are these days either, the tracks allowed innovation and/or stainless steel balls to get an advantage.

People who think Jett isn't the same level as stew have never actually WATCHED him ride. He is the only other rider I've ever seen that does shit like stew. May be unpopular as an opinion but I'm rocking with it anyway.

GL8 is one of my favorites. He's such a diverse rider, plus he seems like a fucking fun guy just to hang out and bullshit with. I was bummed that he had to retire, but he still did a lot in his career

Anyone with a love of Jujitsu, or anything with a mental element that surpasses the physical, should try rock climbing, indoor or otherwise. It is one of those transcendental experiences, irrespective of percieved ability. Normal folk *can* do it...
