Charger R/T Eibach Pro Lowering Springs

3 жыл бұрын2016 Charger R/T with the Eibach Pro - Kit lowering springs. These do not lower the car as much as the Sportline Kit, which is more aggressive. I opted for the Pro-Kit for clearance reasons and for traction. These springs lower the car 1.5 inches in the rear, and 1.3 in the front according to Eibach.

after hours of studying different strut/shocks and springs on various parts catalogs, I settled for D2 Racing springs and Bilstien absorbers and I can honestly say that I am very please with ride quality,aesthetics and price

@@DonnySRT yes they’ve been a supplier for the almost every big car manufacturer for many years and although lower priced shocks like mine lack tuneing abilities , they are a tried and true option to more common oe items.

@@DonnySRT Tis' the season :'( ... they will settle and you'll love it, very decent level of mechanical grip, the rest you can make up for with tires and other suspension bits ! Suspension geometry is very underrated in these cars!

Absolutely! Sometimes people forget how important the suspension components are for hooking - not just tires!

She looks really good! I did the Mopar performance springs about 8 months ago which are advertised as a 1” drop. I researched a lot and the parts guy at Steve White Motors in NC was super helpful. If you go too low on the stock struts you will blow them out. Going with the Mopar brand kept it within their safe zone and also has the camber right on the edge of still being in spec. The ride for my car now is factory for the Scat Pack. Ride is firm and she hugs turns better. Wish it was a little softer on bad road conditions. Probably lost a little grip on a dig and definitely have to take the speed bumps / humps at a slower speed. Thinking about adding a front camera too because you will scrape a lot more often now. Very nice mod for these cars. Absolutely love the look Donny RT.

I really thought about going the Mopar spring route as well. I think that these ones are (kinda) comparable to those and I am very happy so far. I was worried about going too low for suspension geometry reasons and (like you said) limitations with the shocks/struts

@@DonnySRT did you have to change anything using profit did you keep everything factory.! I wanna lower my car just don’t wanna hassle with switching everything I just wanna do the springs and be good

Oh man, I lowered mine with h&r lowering springs and the ride was terrible. I ended up having to get new shocks and struts. After that I glided over the road so much better. Then about 2 months later it finally dropped to it's final location and I could no longer get a finger in the gap. I couldn't even drive on freeway because it would rub over the smallest dip. The shop that did all the work put spacers in springs and it raised it and inch so I am finally able to drive it again. Love the lowering look but man did I run into constant issues!

I already bought the h and r springs but I am just now hearing all these bad stories. So I'm overthinking everything

U won’t be disappointed, This was the first thing I did on my charger.. btw thx to u I got the borla s type mufflers and the black round exhaust tips, finally the car sounds like how it should Btw what color is ur car?

I bought the proline kit and after 2 weeks the springs settled and now my struts and shocks are about useless on my 2013 dodge challenger RT . Hopefully yours want do like mine. I need the eibach shocks and struts now. Also you will not need a balljoint puller. You just loosen the nut down to almost off but not quite then hit the side of the upper control arm where the balljoint is and it will break loose pretty easy with a few good whacks from a paulding hammer.

Yea man for some reason I was trying that method to get the a-arm loose but i couldn’t get it out. I will probably do the shocks in the future to be honest

Nice!! I went the same route. Love it all around just wish the front was lower like a quarter inch more just to give it a tad more aggressive look but over all its perfect for driving in cali lol !!!

Interesting Donny, thanks for sharing! I was curious how lowering the car would do with longtube headers. So far so good? Rad that you tackled this one yourself, good on you!

So far, no clearance issues. It should settle a little more but I'm crossing my fingers that I'm in the clear. I was worried about the headers, which is another reason why I didn't opt for the lower, sportline kit

Went back and forth with the Sportlines and the Pro-kit for my Charger Daytona, I'm glad I went with the Pro-kit rides great and it does settle in time, what I do recommend is an alignment, mine was way off when my kit was installed

Are you running long tubes with those or are you on the stock headers when you installed these? I have bbk and looking to lower but have to be careful with how low I can go. I was looking at the sportline since they sit lower but don’t want to be bottom out everywhere. Here and there is okay but just curious

Long tubes. I only scrape on really steep driveways, like in parking garages

I definitely don't regret it. I do with that I bought the shocks/struts with it, though

@@DonnySRT I didn't change the shocks or struts, but I replaced my front sway with a thicker one. Makes the car handle like it's 500lbs lighter. I kept the rear sway stock to avoid hurting traction, and I have the 3.09 LSD. I'm doing the 392 cam with Dyno tune and 1 3/4" BBK tuned shorties next.

Rear lower control arm is a bitch! My 16 RT only dropped 3/4 inch front and back with pro kit but my wheel and tire package was already .5 bigger in diameter than stock. Well worth it in my opinion.

You will not see the full effect for a couple weeks. Everything has to settle and make sure you get an alignment.

Did you just change the springs or did you have to Change everything else like the camber and shocks or structs

@@1323rodriguez only changed springs, I'm on prokit. Sportlines will give you 1.7 fr, 1.9 rear
