I lost my childhood because of this man I can still remember when it all started what a shame- many people of Liberia suffered- many lives lost-many children grew up with out their parents because they died in the war- Just because someone speaks clear it doesn’t mean they are not clever (Think on that one) So when people say free him I say tell him to bring back the people he killed including the children they Eat oh yes I remembered

Don't let yourself be fooled by his words. Taylor definitely committed some very heinous crimes in both Liberia and Sierra Leone. In fact the charges against him and the prison time he was given were far more lenient. Taylor had been very power hungry from the beginning and he could stop at nothing to seize and maintain power.

@@remyeches9079 Actually part of the reason why we continue to enslave ourselves is the lack of accountability. We don't hold our leaders accountable at all. It's always someone else's fault. Taylor was a ruthless SOB as a leader. Thousands ended up paying the ultimate since the day he started his rebellion. But just as you say "what about Bush". "What about Doe". What does that have to do with Taylor's crime I ask you. Total nonsense.

'Ghankay' received his undergraduate degree from Bentley U in Massachusetts. He is as such the commensurate orator. Admittedly, he's smooth as silk. His speeches make for great political theater. They have an entertainment value that's on par with Prime Minister's Questions time in the UK

Charles Taylor. Liberia is now set in the right path and its growing gradually. Thank you. I know You only wanted to liberate your people and country from the European exploitation and you did what it took. Liberia is healing its past and now even better.

That's an asinine and preposterous statement you made. He did all he could by embezzling millions of dollars. He did all he could by working with the CIA to destabilize 3 countries such as Liberia, Ivory Coast, and Sierra Leone. Same disgusting Taylor that used blood diamond to enrich himself. That's a great sound_byte. In the aftermath of the Liberian Civil Wars, it doesn't have much basis in fact. All one has to do is look at Taylor's record as president.
