I don’t think the problem was that ppl thought they were cosplaying. The problem was that they are dressed in a Walmarts vest, pretending to be cashiers for a photo shoot for a deal that will probably make them thousands while actual cashiers at Walmart def do not. It was all just very tone deaf.

A better campaign idea would’ve been to have their family do a movie night as a photo shoot enjoying their snacks in a silly goofy time. The marketing team is just why???

It's the fact that our jobs are mimicked as a joke. When we are forced to work crazy hours,can't afford to live, and are treated like lazy trash.
