sadly a lot of people miss the point because most people are actually like Charlie, hence the common name and little personality added to his character, since he represents most people (my speculation at least). He “avoided all the little things that were hard to ask” like general kindness, and “he’d judge with no pretense” meaning he would judge others and not himself which technically goes against christian belief and doesnt make him worthy of heaven

i know that we all think of charlie when we hear this song and i love the comments however i think people misread the song a bit- the actual reason charlie (from the song not slimecicle) goes to hell is because he does the bare minimum of nice things *just* to get into heaven. like he wasn't sad at all about his weeping family and cared more about going to heaven in that moment. which i'm pretty sure is not,,, great according to Christianity to do and that's why he went to hell. love the animatic though omg the way he just gets shit on by the world around him in the beginning oml-

I use flipaclip!! (flipaclip is free but is a subscription for premium) and i use the "Rough Pen" on it!! but i use procreate to draw :)

The point of the song is Charlie only did those good things to get to Heaven. He didn’t do them because he was a good person, hence why he went to hell. He thought that by doing those things he was guaranteed to get into heaven which isn’t how it works, you have to be an actual decent person for that. Kindness and good nature should not be done only to get a reward.
