Charlie is one of the most humblest, down to earth drummers around. He leads a simple life and has always avoided the rock subculture. The fact that he is still married to the same woman since 1964 speaks volumes. Unheard of in the rock and roll world. He is the perfect roll model not only as a drummer but also as a person. He inspired me to be a drummer.

Charlie is simply adorable. I cannot imagine using that adjective to describe anyone else in rock, certainly not any other man.

One of the best and greatest Drummers. He was a very clever Graphic Artist as well. Charlie was a man of dignity and integrity. Faithful to his wife of 57 years, he never strayed.
