I am 29 years old and grew up watching little house on the prairie and the waltons. I enjoy this interviews so much. I put myself in the life of what the show portrays. It's like "my happy place" "my stress free zone". These actors r FANTASTIC. And getting an inside look of the up and downs behide the scene can be sad and disappointing to hear how some actors didn't get alone or how they were not seen differently beside the character they played. A big thank u to them cause these show and characters got me though some hard times. THANK YOU

These interviews with the Little House cast members are priceless! i really liked hearing about and seeing her beadle bags...those look so beautiful and how can you beat a handmade piece from her...she seems to be the real deal as do all of the cast. It always makes my day seeing them...i just wish I had been able to attend this past weekends festivities. The scene in 'Blizzard' where Jonathan goes up to her and tells her it wasn't her fault is one of my favorite scenes of his. Showing the class clown has a heart of gold is priceless🙂

It is very true about the teachers and being married. My grandmother was a teacher and she was married and she lied about it so she could teach. I don’t know if they ever found out. I don’t know how it ended, but I should’ve asked her that before she passed away I just didn’t think to ask grandma these questions. She was born in 1910 so you figure maybe 1929 or 30 because my mom was born in 34 and my grandfather had been in the war as a seebee and mom remembers when she was 10 him coming home from the war. She had gone to the store to grab some thing for her mom and she saw my grandfather walking towards her and she dropped everything she had and there was a glass thing of milk in it, and it broke. I’m so blessed to have my mom that I can ask questions to.

Although Ms. Stewart's mental powers otherwise appear to be flawless, she confuses on two occasions Catherine Colson--the Log Lady from "Twin Peaks"--with Katherine "Scottie" Macgregor who played Mrs. Olson. Ms. Macgregor was not into Zen Buddhism but the Vedanta Society that teaches the Advaita philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna. Other than this, thanks for an enjoyable second interview with this amazing woman!

Speaking of authentic as I’m watching the series on prime, they have a trivia and you can look up booths and stuff like that and there are so many. I have caught even more just watching it that they didn’t even mention. Like the barn fire when Mary went in to the barn with the lantern to study. One minute the mom has no shoes on then she has shoes the no shoes back-and-forth.. It’s so fascinating to see all the goofs. Like in the founders day episode. The band plays a song by Sousa that hasn’t even been written yet. And then the belt loops on the pants that weren’t even created for several decades after the 1870s. Also, in the founders day, they said Nels team won, but he was the first one to be dragged into the mud puddle.

Just adding some clarification to two questions asked in this interview @ 32:48 and 33:43 . The "Wisdom of Solomon" starred Todd Bridges as the poor, runaway black child who wanted a better life and education who was spotted by Laura looking in the school window. Spotted Eagle was an Indian boy born to a white woman and her Indian husband- who was killed in the episode "Injun Kid" Also, Miss Beadle didn't give birth to "Luke" Luke was Adam's son from a previous marriage. In a previous episode, "Luke and "Nellie eloped to get married much to the dismay of the "Olesons" who then had their marriage annulled. Matthew was the name of Mrs. Simms (formally Miss Beadle) and Adam (her husbands) baby. Little House is my favorite show of the "70's and I love all the interviews with the cast. I've watched them all and follow a Little House Facebook page that Alison helps moderate. I look forward to more interviews with different actors of LHOTHP if you are able to get them. :)

Very interesting about them getting rid of Charlotte (Miss Beadle) after 4 years because they wanted to stick to the timeline of the book. I say that because the real life Mary they said never married and never had any kids. On the show Mary got married and had a baby. Completely off script from the book. Then they have the baby die in a fire. None of that happened in the book becase Mary never had a baby. Just odd how they changed story lines like that.
