Two you left out; Scyther and Hippopotas! I believe Hippo, like Spoink made two appearances before finding its herd. And Scyther, well just like Dunsparce, Ash has tried to catch one... 3 times, one that Tracey ended up catching, one at the bug catching contest and the one that Goh ended up catching. Man needs his own!

Note that "Gotta catch 'em all" is only a US slogan, and contradicts how evolving and trading are different from catching. "Pokemon getto daze" is accurate since you are getting Pokémon from different ways.

I always wanted Ash to catch a Growlithe and evolve it to an Arcanine. Something about that Pokémon’s design always screamed Ash to me. I remember in the Hoenn series there was an episode where he helped a mama Arcanine with her pups. Wish one of the Growlithe pups had stayed with him from there.

He also tried to catch a dodrio but Back in the indigo series. I'd love to see him get one.

Super glad someone addressed Spoink. It's always Espeon and Latias who I see being mentioned as the Psychic catches. Deerling is a nice callback. I recall him befriending a Cottonee, Archen and Venipede in BW. And ofc that Beartic in MPM. If anything this is a great Unova team for Blueberry Academy - Beartic, Sawsbuck, Whimsicott, Archeops and Scolipede.

I think Dachsbun would be good for Ash, he needs a fairy type, he loves food and I can see him using Well-baked body in unique ways

I think it be kinda cool but also kinda dark if Ash's Primeape ends up evolving into Annihilape while he is in Paldea and they reunite there.

I totally agree with Ash catching Latias, Espeon, and Dunsparce as well as reuniting and evolving his Primape to Anihilape. However, one of the things I really want to see is him officially recatch his Greninja (coinciding with the upcoming Legends Z-A games) after helping him vanquish those Team Flare Energy Roots.

Maybe Paul could return and help Ash train Honchkrow since Paul had one as well?) 4 Passimian (He did bond with them in that banned SM episode so giving Ash a Passimian is fine) 5 Abomasnow (to apologize to fans for not letting Ash catch a Snover in that one DP episode) 6 Magnezone (He did encounter Magnemite alot including the episode where Ash got Muk) 7 Bastiodon (Ash did rescue some Shieldon from Hunter J in one DP episode so getting a Bastiodon is fine) 8 Scolipede (See A Venipede Stampede and you'll know why Ash should have caught one) 9 Volcarona (Shiny one from that one Project Mew episode is good too) 10 Trevenant (Either a Shiny version or the one from Forging Forest Relationships) 11 Hippowdon (Get that recurring Hippopotas in DP) 12 Beedrill (Make sure Ash keeps one!) 13 Archeops (from the Archeops in the Modern World) 14 Sableye (See Ready, Willing and Sableye as to why Ash should have caught one) 15 Dragalge (see Skrelp's debut episode An Undersea Place to Call Home!) 16 Golisopod (from that Wimpod Ash met in one SM episode) 17 Beartic (to apologize to fans for not letting Ash get one in that one Aim to be Master episode) 18 Hatterene (same like Beartic) I think Garchomp is part of the reserves that Ash should fully evolve, alongside Meganium, Feraligatr, Crawdaunt, Typhlosion, Floatzel, Serperior, Samurott, Emboar, Scrafty, Gigalith and Seismitoad.

If ONLY the writers just adding this to the script that Ash will be connected with Latias when he catch her in a Poke Ball or different ball like Master Ball, that'd be history but no they just bring the Latias from the Pokemon Heroes The Movie since it came out like 22 years ago. Honestly, didn’t think about this being an ICY reference until months later, but I feel Ash would do well with a Marshadow. Masters had your playable character fight Ash in an “Intro to Pasio” tournament, and his fighting style was detailed during his Dracovish’s fight with your Torchic. Close off distance, and go in for the kill. Torchic tried to keep Dracovish away, but Dracovish was able to counter Torchic by water gunning the ground, and freezing it with Ice Fang, leaving Torchic stuck, so Ash could close the distance and use Fishious Rend. That kind of fighting style fits Perfectly with Marshadow hopping into people’s shadows to fight them up close and personal Also, a couple side tangents. A, 4:08 It’s a real shame to me how the Lucario Ash finally got, amounted to little more than a Greninja bootleg. And B, ABSOLUTELY agree on Larvitar and Solgaleo. Regardless of how you may feel about Ash owning the two under Togepi logic, or the Pikachu Dream Sequence(Not counting the MPM poster or the promo video shown in the subway. The actual show is more conclusive than a single jpeg of promo material), I’m still mad that he never caught them. Ash needs a Houndour. Like the pack leader he instructed to use flamethrower on TR back in Johto. The leader could've passed the alpha status to the next Houndour that was capable in the pack. Another missed opportunity.

Ditto would be cool. Stated it in another comment, but since Ash's goal is to be a pokemon master, insinuated that means he can bond with any pokemon and bring their full potential. Ditto being able transform to any pokemon and Ash bringing it each time to its full potential would be just sick to think about.

I think another pokemon with a history that ash could get is that menace jigglypuff. It tormented him in kanto, the orange islands, Johto and even made it to hoenn for an episode

I understand most of them, but the Dipplin and Hydrapple doesn’t work, at least for the reason you gave. Giving Ash an Applin only to evolve it into a Dipplin wouldn’t work because Ash was almost done by the time the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk DLCs were announced and was officially finished way before the time Dipplin was introduced. It wouldn’t have made any sense, at least to me, to give him a Pokémon that would get almost no screen time to tease a DLC of a Generation that he isn’t going to be a part of.

Ash needs a Zoroa or the Hisuian version.

Sorry but I don't believe that Ash would return in the Pokémon Horizons Series because of what was mentioned in the Interview means that they want to completely focus on the New Characters in the Series like Liko, Roy, Dot and the Raising Volt Tacklers so that's what they're focusing on which doesn't leave any room for Ash to return! Ash should return during or after the 30th Anniversary of Pokémon which is the only reason for him to return!
