What I love about Hatchetfield is how the characters go so much deeper. Grace Chasity feels like the kind of person who is only kept in check by religion. Ever heard the argument "how can you have morals without God?" y'all are queer, of course you have. Her character feels like a direct response to that. God is the only thing that gives her morals and when she gives up her chastity, she realizes that there is no immediate divine punishment - ergo her morality is based on essentially nothing. Hence the power trip and mania.

Kinda makes sense why Max was so interested in Grace. They're more alike than Grace would be willing to admit to anyone. She just has her power levels from a different . . . What's the word for it? Aspiration? How do we divide strength physical from strength mental?

@@sarahfarr7400 Max and Grace are basically two sides of the same coin, this is why the two are obsessed with eachother and then they sing Nerdy Prudes must die and Dirty Dudes must die respectively, they both are monsters when given any power (as seen in other timelines where Grace is given power, such as Working Boys)

Oh yeah, the Lords in Black definitely traded up. Jägerman could have killed a few people a day, but that would hardly put a dent in the national murder rate. Grace will bring the end times.

stuff like this makes me REALLY hope we get a nightmare time episode (or something similar) about post NPMD Grace. Great animation, I like how Grace actually hurts him in this, instead of just menacing him like in the stage production, ontop of the lords in black appearing as grace ascends.

And this absolutely cements what shines through from her in this finale. Fair warning a lot of personal interpretation and analysis down below because I am NOT normal

The entire black book premise can lead to so many sequels and stuff, as an example, the mayor said he would never touch the book AGAIN, so we could get a prequel about his past, or we could have a sequel musical that shows what Grace does with the book, and maybe Steph and Pete either try to stop her or are mentioned as a reference. The entire idea of several musicals happening in the same universe/town can lead to so many possibilities, it's honestly genius.

My favourite part about this is she was never there for Richie's death, so her saying 'Who will pray for you, when you're body's gone?' is her own brain, making her closer to her first victim, Max. If not, both of them were possessed by the ones in black (I think that's their name, I forgot)

thank you!! it’s a scene from the musical „nerdy prudes must die“! basically the character singing got her hands on a book that she uses to get in touch with a group of eldrich entities that work similarly to demons or dark gods, and since she’s a VERY devout and exaggerated christian girl she wants to use the power to get rid of everyone she deems to be a „pervert“… i hope that clears things up a bit! :D it’s seriously a really funny musical and it’s uploaded on youtube in its entirety, i highly recommend it!!
