He even has different dialogue if you kill him stealthily. He has no idea it was you, and assumes it was a random person who attacked him.

My question is if they always had that or if they added it after the beta? I would imagine the Early Access playthroughs gave them a lot of scenarios they never dreamed would happen. I remember watching an interview with the head of Larian where they talked about how many options were involved with getting the player the dodecahedron thing that Shadowheart has. Just that one piece of kit gave them several days of work. Designing the scenarios, animating them, voicing the lines, realizing they missed a situation, going back and animating and voicing that scenario. I can't even imagine how much work goes into designing sandbox games and immersive sims. Though I fully believe they are some of the most satisfying game types to play for the very reason that sparked OPs comment. It's just great when you stumble onto something that you never imagined they anticipated but it has a specific voice line dealing with it.

I wish it stayed that way, they get so much less responsive over the game especially by act 3

You can make every character's armour and helmet (including your own) invisible and run around just in trousers and undershirt, with the optiin 1. all the time, 2. only during cut scenes in camp, or 3. always while in camp. Of course, if you unequip their normal clothing and underwear while keeping the armour and helmet invisible, well... then they're only wearing boots. You can also steal Laez'el's BDSM underwear (if you recruited her) and put it on Astarion and have him strut around in it. Heck, you can even put it on Halsin the druid once you recruit him.

I've been having an easy enough time on my Dex monk, there's an incredible staff you can buy from Emerald Grove that gives you +2 to all saves (!!) as long as you don't wear armor and it also buffs your unarmed attacks.

​@@remixtheidiot5771At least Larian knows how to make fun gameplay unlike Wizards Theres way more Martials based Magic Item in BG3 than it was in 5E who is Caster focused Berserker getting buffed to not only get 0 stupidly unfair penalty but also a Bonus Action throwing attack of litteraly anything and anyone that knocks people prone is amazing Imagine if you cast Enlarge/Reduce on the Berserker in actual 5E, they would kill a lot of people Especially if your DM is the nice guy that allows Oversized weapon rule because Melee Martials NEED to be buffed

yeah! that and robbing blind the traders you know you're going to kill. stopped mid the goblin camp encounter just to steal all the cool shit from the trader and then resell it. pickpocketing is definitely my #1 reason for savescums

Astarion seems to be such a love/hate character for everyone. His initial demeanor is pretty hard to get over, what with nearly killing you then sucking your blood without your consent. When he did that to my evil Duergar character I just ended him with a stake right there. In my defense I had no idea it would instantly kill him because it was a dialogue option.

@@kstar1489 he initially comes off as selfish and smarmy in a way that can be offputting. and while he may have gotten caught before he could properly drink your blood, 1. some players wake up with teeth marks on their neck anyway, implying he managed to nick them, and 2. the fact remains that he still _intended_ to bite you without permission; you just woke up before he could get away with it. i may be fond of this flamboyant little fop but i understand why some players or their characters would find him unpleasant lmfao
