Chatterbox OOC is amazing. He’s an actual leader. This sucks but he stays positive and thinks of how his actions affect others, IC and OOC. He’s really smart. I’ve become a big fan. I hope there’s enough NoPixel viewers fighting for him to overturn this OOC. He isn’t toxic. He needs to be there

This is just wrong to do for characters like chatterbox. It means certain streamers have to change the way they do RP and that to me is just wrong.. a better way to do this would have been instead of paying of debt they should just pay off the fines that are charged for the crimes they are arrested for. If chatterbox had to work his whole debt then it impacts all the arcs he's involved in too. I actually think he would just quit nopixel

I feel like losing the ability to use the bank, having to use cash only and carry cash around was enough of a punishment personally. I haven't seen any arguments that would warrant another punishment.

I watch NP for the roleplay and entertainment. Not to watch people grind a game for weeks. Feel like the server is trying to be a game vs being a place for content creators to RP together and make stories.

They can keep the law as is, it just needs one more thing added on. Once you do X amount of hours of work beyond your sentence (maybe +2 hours or something) then you get out. It pays down your debt partially and still gives a slight punishment for being in debt. And the state gets paid. Having to pay it all off at once before getting out would just lead to people quitting the server.

So dumb gonna stop rp due to fear like with the clowns but also people like dundee doing crime arks, eli doing dumb shit, micky and jail plans which as a whole was always good fun even for pd. also the debts should at the very least be wiped this is basically entrapment

The current clown RP arcs are so compelling. They're better than most TV shows out there, imo. I hope they do figure out how to deal with the extended jail time for excessive debtors in a way that doesn't ruin the RP/content.

LK put it perfectly. Make people in extreme debt's lives (IC) more difficult like forcing them to use cash, make it impossible to own property under their names, etc. But don't put people in prison for actual days and ruin their characters/rp styles/ etc. Let the grinders grind and let the roleplayers roleplay

I have gone out of my way to actively avoid watching grind rp. I mainly watch Valkyrae nd now chatterbox and when she does g6 runs or was running weed I left her streams to watch chatterbox bc I hate grind rp. Why do I want to watch someone do a job for entertainment? This feels so targeted at James Randall and chatterbox and even Dundee. People who provide one of a kind unique roleplay without grinding. I’m super shocked buddha as an owner agreed to this law nbc in the past he was so against grinder rp being a main focus of nopixel and he wanted to help create more roleplay for people which is why he greed to become n owner in the first place.

Server has been anti rp since 4.0 launch tbh. Everything has been about grinding civ jobs, grinding weed, grinding materials for buttcoin, K has said the same thing any thing he did for pure roleplay got shut down by the server/council. Not sure who is leading the servers direction in 4.0 but it's been kinda bad as far as roleplay. They removed whitelists but whitelists was literally the reward for people who did rp over gribding but now the reward is given to the grinders because they can just buy everything...

He originally got this debt because of bs law that prevented RP, and he highlighted how bs it was by how easily he racked up that debt. The admins were in the wrong, realised this and thus removed it. Now Chatterbox also gets punished for that mistake? Seriously? There must be some kind of pardon bs they can say to let him go free, because this is downright pathetic. Like actually stupid. We know Koil is a narcissist and gets power hungry when his feelings get hurt, so unlikely for anything to happen, and unlikely any RPers will bring anything up to him directly in fear of being banned, but hopefully public outcry can help.

why they make this complicated. just make jail time that you can do while offline (sleep) and make 20-30% of that you need to work in the jail. with this player get punished and cannot get away with sleep.

Crazy to see what NP has become since 2.0. 2.0 was great ad I think Chatterbox would've liked it because you could be a million in debt but still hide some money under your bed at the apartments so if you needed 1k you can just go there and grab it and go do whatever you planned on doing.

Mixed feeling I feel for chatterbox and other people that had debt when this implemented. Don’t think this will stick because of how badly it kills so much rp (adds some rp as well but kills more then it creates). Part of me wants him to get caught just to see how it all plays out. Imagine he gets areested stuck in prison and I want ray to get people together that have her back and also might have issues with this law which I would imagine would be apt of people and go riot outside the prison 😂 . Might be why they added this debters law because they are trying to get the prison to be its own active part of the city and this would put more people in there longer i dunno just spit ballin

NP complains about "economy" issues and blames it on debt players when there is a clear history of NP failing miserably at every attempt to build and maintain an economic system in game.

I agree with both sides but many people have had stuff put in that effects their play style . Look at yuno he is scared to do crime cause he will lose G6 . So having a group who pay no consequences isnt really fair but at same time the clowns do help others make great content so idk . Maybe the devs will find a solution to it

Debtors prison would be a better concept if it was implemented when 4.0 dropped or if they wiped previous debts when it was enacted. Doesn't seem fair to drop it midway through and punish the RPers who choose RP over grinding. Honestly what were they thinking?

I get NP wanna try and bring realism to the server but fuck me this is kinda of shit move by them it would be great if all the non grind characters and the crims just stayed away from the server for a couple of weeks just to show them what the server would look like vanilla as fuck but that’ll never happen

1 big crime spree =jail time plus over debt witch could be 6 hours extra crims could be in jail for days hopefully gang members can transfer money to make it go faster prison needs updates it does but clearing debt idk

It would be one thing to introduce this at the start, but to just drop it on them after they are already at this point is so weird n rude. Devs need to implement changes with some consideration for how it impacts people and their roleplay. If you can just drop a change, you can just as easily wipe the debt and let them start this change from now. Devs always negatively impacting players without any built in concession for the adjustment. Just bad methodology honestly.

It's what it is. You get the game, you need to follow the rules. Sometime you had fun, a lot of times not. I hope they made rules or law that can balance the negative and positive of things.

This game should prioritize and focus on ROLEPLAY, not hardcore grinders and gangsters. This law is extremely disappointing. Nopixel is about to go downhill DRASTICLY!!

Nathan is kind of an asshole. Dude has taken it upon himself to police how people RP on the server, He's not the owner and he doesn't speak for all the admins, he needs to be put in his place.

This is just adding a bit of consequence to the server. People don't have to grind all day every day they just don't have an unlimited "do whatever crimes I want then log off for the night if I get caught, wake up the next day and do it all over again" pass. I don't hear people bitching cause they have to buy food and drinks on the server so their character can live. I don't hear complaints that cars, knives, guns, C4, laptops, houses, and warehouses cost money. The only difference is now things like felonious assault, murder, kidnapping, robbery, and grand theft auto also no cost money.

He's playing an unrealistic character in a mostly serious rp server. He can earn money doing crime like the joker did. Clowns put on events like circuses and entertain people and get paid.

You have to also have actual consequences for racking up that kind of debt. In anything you do you cant be 1 million in debt an just get away with it. You choose not to pay you have to deal with it

Nopixel is a platform...it's an environment...for various types of RP. What Chaterbox is saying is hypocritical...it's a self-centred opinion that applies to his chosen type of RP. As he said...he doesn't want to be a hard gang member...but some people chose to be exactly that...and some people chose to be COPS...so if the server just gives carte blanche for everyone to do whatever they want, without rules then the environment becomes pure chaos, and that lasts a few weeks before it burns out. Chaturbox basically wants NP, to be a VR Chat Room. The Main Character in NP is the City of Los Santos, and if you as a character want the City to change, your character needs to find a way to do it from, within...if not, you're basically just a whinny improv kid. I'm sure other servers can offer a better setup for you.
