If you guys ever get the chance to chat up Zack again, here's a few questions I wish you could ask him for me: 1) Have you ever thought of redrafting a script multiple times to fine tune it, or is it always your first draft that you don't even bother to re-read? 2) Have you ever thought of hiring a script doctor? 3) Have you ever thought of having an actual writer co-write some of your scripts, or at least make sense of them? 4) Do you ever have an original thought in your process of writing a movie? Or does it consist entirely of re-watching old films and buffet-style, pick out, and steal bits from each? 5) Do you understand what object permanence is? Or is it something you just ignore in your films? 6) Do you think your films would be better if you had to get studio approval for each instance of slow motion? 7) Do you understand that the majority of people who watch your out of focus films despise that method of filming? If you understand that it hurts our eyes, do you not care, and just do it anyway? 8) How are you still allowed to make movies? 9) What dirt do you have on people in order to still get funding for these products you film? 10) Do you understand that every movie you've made is worse than the last? And the only one of any value was Dawn of the Dead? 11) Do you write your scripts in crayon? 12) Do you understand that it's a bad thing when characters don't act naturally, and the audience can see the writer's hand moving the pieces? 13) Do you understand logic, reason, and causality? 14) Is film-making in your eyes just like Legos, taking bits and pieces of per-rendered scenes and hastily gluing them together no matter how disparate they are from one another? Also tell him thanks for all the laughs, unintentional or not. Rebel Moon was the closest thing we've had to a Spaceballs part 2, so for that tell him I'm grateful.

@@Holden_McHocka reference/joke release the snyder cut was an internet movement to have the original cut of the justice leauge released. zach snyder had directed the whole movie then stepped away, with joss whedon stepping in to recut and reshoot to what we saw in theaters. and gruchy is dan's last name i believe. i havent seen the whole video yet but if dan is absent the whole time it could be a joke about how the theoretical cut of this episode, which included dan, should be released.

My opinion on Watchmen is that Zack did an amazing job, honestly one of my favourite films. Granted as a side note I’ve not read the comic, I respect Alan Moores and what he stands for, but from an aesthetic point of view, Zack is amazing.

I loved the graphic novel for years before the movie was made, and they really did it justice. Even the changes they made (for example the ending) make so much more sense in the context of a movie.

This is so awesome. I LOOOOVE 2nd channel videos like this. I'm a student at Los Angeles Film School getting a bachelors in Digital Filmmaking and one of the reasons (actually, THE reason if I'm being perfectly honest,) I decided to go back to school and pursue my passion for film is because of The Slow Mo Guys. I just fell in love with Gav and Dan super hard as a young adult. I hope to someday be at least a tenth as talented and skilled as these handsome lads someday. Videos like this are like fun little extracurricular classes for me. Love to see it. ♥

Near the end of the film era, there was an art project filming paint being flung into the air at high speed… All analog photography, and it took ages. By the time the filming was complete, it was just possible to digitize the high-speed and then composite and edit digitally. I can only image how the project would have looked if they’d had a Phantom and current storage and editing. I was doing still-image digital pre-press at about the time they were filming, and storage and processing speed was a huge limiting factor at the time. Sub 100 Megahertz processors, let along Gigahertz...
