Hi everyone, today we are looking at a cheap option for an airsoft suppressor insert, using foam paint rollers.
This is the cheapest option to have an airsoft suppressor that works, for a fraction of the cost.

Great simple trick. I use foam and green sink scourer cut into discs at about 1 inch intervals. The gaps give the air space to expand to make even less noise.

Hey! nice idea! I just happened to have a foam paint roll that fitted EXACTLY inside the fat suppressor of my DMR Dragunov SVU. What a coincidence... Didn't have to cut it, just pushing it out broke the glue from the inside tube. And also no need for the spring, it took literally 30sec. I have to say that the sound from the muzzle was dramatically reduced, but since most of the noise comes from the motor and gears it's indistinguishable to me. I'm sure it would be much more useful in a sniper tho.

For the none believers; I once bought a BSA suppressor for a PCP air rifle, it took the rifle from ears ringing to where I could actually hear the hammer strike the valve and cost £70($85ish). When I took it apart it was literally a metal tube hair curlers wrapped in cotton wool.

Any updates since this on the before/after decibels? I'd love to see how homemade suppressors stack up (that's a little baffles joke I think....)

I made one using 4 foam discs each disc is about 3/4 of an inch wide supressor is about 6 inches long. Each disc has a gap about an inch and a half between one another so air can get trapped. It was already pretty quiet. I took 4 decibels off the rifle. The piston slapping the head is still what you hear but it took away the towel snap noise at the end of the rifle.

How much hopup do you use on your rifle with the spring? I have a 500fps spring with an ASG Hush XL and the suppressor makes it inaccurate

I have a TDC mod on it, so i adjust on the go. Check maybe a BB’s is touching the suppressor and deviating

@@DraculaAirsoftSniper It seems like even with the spring suppressor and hop up lowered, it still shoots inaccurately. I upgraded to the 500fps spring because I was using a pvc pipe initially in hopes of fixing it. Any tips on how to make it more precise? I love the video by the way.

I had to basics change all the internals on kine to make it accurate. I’ll make a video about the rif soon, and i’ll be showing all the upgrades.

a much cheaper option is just buy 5 layer aluminum heating pipe insulator foam, its about 25c for 1 metre of foam.

You’ll need a adaptor for the VSR 10 : www.bztactical.co.uk/action-army-vsr-10-silencer-adapter-ccw-black And then just find a suppressor you like. Plenty on eBay, patrolbase etc

ATF loves people who make their own Suppressors, so Much that they'll give you minimum 10 years to engineer another suppressor
