I had to try this hydro tower again and boy did it turn out way better than the first attempt! Learned a lot from the last time to I'm going to share how I made this. Bonus it was cheap too! I love DIY projects.

Throw a couple gold fish in the reservoir and allow the fish excrement become natural fish food. It's basically an aquaponics system. Great job by the way

I did that tower system like 10 years ago and the funny three petals pot that is now available at dollar store was about 7 bucks a piece lol. I didn't use submersible pump but used an air lift pump system using an aquarium aerator that inject air into a tube that lift the water up to the top of the tower, the water then flow down to water the entire system sigh help of flannel tape and leca balls, planted plenty of strawberries that resulting a very sweet strawberries and the nutrient solution I used that time was from aerogarden product. Just for fun, it was not cost effective so I went back to the green house again.

Your anatomical descriptions of the plumbing makes sense because that's how our body's plumbing was named in the first place. Any way you look at it, God got their first -- alpha and omega!

Many fountain pumps have an adjustment knob so you can adjust the flow. If not get a smaller pump.

Great vid! I built my first tower based on your previous video on this topic but ended up doing something different because of the black tubing everywhere. I also applied a stainless steel bolt and a washer through the bottom of the planter into the lid with a nut underneath to provide more stability. I built mine to grow strawberries. I don't recommend this because I learned the strawberry plants themselves rot easily if they're wet all the time. Going to re-start my hydroponic project with lettuces and pak choi. Thanks!

Lol no thankfully not I havnt seen any of them attempt to drink the water from the tubes. I have water close by in another bowl just for them so they don't go thirsty n get tempted
