****MAKE SURE YOU FINISH DRIVING THE OIL PICKUP SCREEN ALL OF THE WAY IN UP TO THE COLLAR AFTER SETTING THE CORRECT OIL PAN HEIGHT CLEARANCE OR IT WILL EVENTUALLY FALL OUT AND DESTROY YOUR BEARINGS*** Hope you enjoy and use the info in this short video on how to make the installation of a press in oil pick up screen into either a small ( 283, 307, 327, 350, 383 stroker, 400 ) big block ( 396, 402, 427, 454, 502 ) or even 4.3L V6 GMC and Chevy OEM style oil pump relatively easy. You will need to make your own tool out of a SBC wrist pin with an ID of 5/8". The big block and Vortec 5.7L & 5.0L Chevy will require the use of a bigger diameter wrist pin that has a 3/4" ID ( Big Block Mopar wrist pin?). Hit up your local engine machine shop and they will probably just give you used ones if they have any. Make sure you wear eye protection, especially when grinding the wrist pin out. If you don't feel comfortable with grinding the slot yourself, you can pay a machine shop to do it for you, or maybe your mom will do it for you, you big candy ass. Thanks for watching.
