My packages are always packaged very good. Its nice to know your package will arrive in good shape and not leaking. The small pieces of cardboard i use for body filler so its a win win

Yea it's not bad! Definitely doesn't vent fumes as good as it should not sure how in the even hell the EPA certified these things anyways 😂 if I didn't have a mask on it would be a quick death 😂😂

Base only needed about 30 min to dry. And also I spray my base and clear different that's why different speeds in reducer and clear

I would say just grab slow. And yes smr42 is one of the best clears on the market hands down. Gloss retention, build , durability ect ect

Second pass I go slightly closer to get more transfer of clear coat onto panel for a wetter coat SOMETIMES. some clear coats I apply the first coat same as the second

If only worried about exterior just prep and spray base overtop

This is truly the best way to do it however I notice the smr130 takes a few days to fully shrink back mabey let it sit over a weekend

@@speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 i will give that a try but honestly Ive never noticed any shrinking with it. I used to spray kapci and it with shrink extremely bad over a 24 hour period

Marco., what reducer would you recommend for a first time painter and our weather here is so bipolar one day 80 next day 55, i live in Colorado and our humidity is really low here on the front range of the rocky mountains. . I'm going to order my paint and reducer, clear and activator tomorrow from Brad whom you recommended. Is the smr 42 the best for gloss and durability? The basecoat color will be gm victory red over Grey primer like you did. You said it looked beautiful over gray. All your help is greatly appreciated.

Very possible with slow speed materials

I ordered from a local store, ppg jb it's not the best for coverage but for blacks it doesn't really matter. Transparent mettalics I usually recommend getting a better brand like speedokote or deltron

Yea there's flex additive still around today not extremely popular being most paints now a days have that stuff built in. Speedokote has flex additives in a lot of there paints for added adhesion and durability

All clear coats are salt and uv tested for 2000 hours good stuff

@@elcoholic79 this specific kit is 4 quarts of clear coat 2 quarts activator. 1.5 gallon total enough to do 3 small cars or 2 medium sized cars.

I almost never advise putting pearls in the clear unless you have been doing this a long long long time. Get a run in that clear with the pearls you are absolutely screwed

@@skinneyjay5451 load up a good amount of pearls in that clear first coat, use med or slow activator, add a little slow reducer, GO LIGHT APPPLY IT LIKE BASE, rest of the coats of clear no pearl apply wet

@@TROUBLEDAGREAT macco is probably your best bet if you want the cheapest job.

Absolutely iv done that before use a cheap clear as a base, then top it with only 1-2 coats of expensive stuff.

Almost the same thing.. Ss1200 has more gloss but slightly less build

Only need 2 wet coats if your not planing to wet sand or buff. 3-4 coats if you want to cut and buff it
