I had a 60 plate one of those I bought it brand new. When it got to40,000 I had the same problem the dealer I bought it from said I needed a new clutch. I took it to another dealer and they told me that some of them around that age had a problem and the gear change needed adjustment. Cost me £15. Bit cheaper than a new clutch

Haha the struggle is real with these cheap part exchanges! At least it wasn't as bad as you thought though. Good call on checking the video score and the brakes! Those are definitely things people forget about. And that first gear trick is a good one to know. Maybe you should do a separate video on those little used car hacks! Never thought a Peugeot could be compared to an R8. Looking good all cleaned up though! 1300 sounds like a good price, especially with a fresh MOT. Good luck selling it!

I brought a cheap Peugeot 307 SW years ago as a tip run and dog walking car ect 2.0hdi and the cambelt went on it within a month or so

If it's the 1.6HDi I would get shot of it ASAP. Had the same engine in a Volvo V50, the DPF has to be replaced every 5 years which is a very pricey job. They're also prone to turbo failure, and the injector seals fail at around the 150k mark, usually necessitating replacement of the injectors themselves as well.

They are well known for linkage wear and is reasonably cheap replacement. Has to be done right as gear selection will be a problem

hey joe love the vids sure youve checked for a rear shunt but id be worried by the (blue) boot lip protection thing might be aftermarket by previous owner and difficulty to pull up the floor for the spare wheel could be just because your holding camera

Looks like a nice wee run around car. I wish garages near me did you tube videos as then you would see how they operate. It gives you a peace of mind knowing more about the company you are dealing with. Thank you so much for what you show on the channel. I just wish there were more car dealers like you around. Glasgow car dealers are very bad. With my mobility being so bad now I just hate going out now. Shame you were not closer I could have tried to sell you my mid life crisis transport lol.

Just had a Kuga with a glass roof. Rattled like a bad boy and over 2k to replace. Ended up with a sponge stuck in it. I’d avoid a glass roof now, going forward.

Mate of mine has a new focus with pano plus sunroof and it shattered and glass cover won't cover the sunroof glass. Proper bullshit

Eolys/PAT fluid low, will probably want the DPF cleaning, depending on pressure/content. Most folks see that error, and ignore it. I have two cars that use Eolys, and it's crucial for the DPF regeneration. Allot of garages use the incorrect Eolys for the type of DPF, or mix them which causes further issues.

Hi Joe my 207 1.4 HDI doesn't like 1st gear, it won't select 1st smoothly unless you're stopped and gearbox whines a bit but other than that can't fault it. 70 odd mpg winner. Will definitely be the 1.6 HDI as that's the only diesel they did it with

8:57 will probably be the top mounts and washer bits worn as well iv just had them done, cost around £70 in parts

Pull the gear leaver gator off, you'll see that the stick needs to go just a bit further, get a small grinder and just shave a bit of the plastic stopping it going in, on astras, zafiras you sometimes can't get reverse, so do the same thing, tbh you'd have been better off trading, auction or 595 spares or repairs in the first place, loads of comebacks on those, dpf, turbo, as I'm sure you know bud.

It's eloys fluid, 50 quid a shot, needs pug scanner to re set, mine was a grand and won't do them, very annoying as it's a common issue.

people slag peugeot but mini are not that good either as they use same engine and many other cars got known issues like kia i got a 207 1.4 vti and done 12k in 8 mth still not needed to ring break down and i now got 83k clutch as a clatter known issue but still works as it should only time i get rid of this if i need more power or insurance want more money

thing is make sure you check oil every 2 week as they drink oil as they same as mini and the more times you get alert for low oil the chain will need replacing
