I am fortunate to have a Grocery Outlet in my town. they carry organic,airchilled chicken , that has been grown 50 miles from my house. Often times, it is marked down. I take it home, prep and freeze it. they also carry legume based pasta ,because most folks like the wheat variety. Cooking from scratch saves money and health.
@azulposeido2 жыл бұрын
I’m also glad to have one nearby but the chicken at my Grocery Outlet is way more expensive than at ALDI or Trader Joe’s
@papillonbleu7212 жыл бұрын
Great video, Bobby! The organic chicken at Aldi was $2.69 per pound. 5.27 was the weight of the chicken.
@cashflow682 жыл бұрын
Good catch, that’s what I thought. I had to replay that.
@MiClLC2 жыл бұрын
That's honestly a steal for organic, pasture raised chicken. Good for you
@Sal-ec4yf2 жыл бұрын
Bobby, please check your Aldi whole chicken comments, if you look it’s $2.69 per lbs. the number you quoted 5.27 was actually the WEIGHT of the chicken, thus the $14.18 total price. I’ve bought organic whole chickens at both Trader Joe’s and Aldi this week. Both were delicious

When I have to spend more money on healthier foods, I think of it as the best investment on my health. It doesn't matter how much money you have if you don't have your health. Keep investing in your health and you'll save, hopefully on major health bills later.
@terriesmith26162 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100% but there are some exception cases where no matter how healthy you eat, you're still not healthy and have health problems because of your body/genetic. There are a few KZfaqrs I watched who eat so healthy and they've got all the money in the world to buy any healthy foods they want but most of them were diagnosed with cancer. The lastest one just died, she has a craft channel with over a million subs and she was only 33 yrs old. Chandler's Wife (Real Estate channel and their net worth is over $20 millions dollar) were just diagnosed with Colon cancer @26 yrs old. So in some cases, you can eat as healthy as you want, you're still gonna get ill but it's still better to eat healthy rather than not.

@@terriesmith2616 some of that may also be from the environment, factors that you aren't even aware of like what is in the water or what is in the air or how much pollution there is from traffic or industry.
@terriesmith26162 жыл бұрын
@@mothershelper1981 I agree completely. I watched their videos and they talked about their cancers and what factors could caused it, environment, foods, household items, make-up, etc, they talked about all of that on their YT videos and all of them said they switched to an all Organic environmental friendly cleaning products, they eat healthy organic foods, lots of veggies and not too much meat, they also mentioned they switched to only organic make-ups products, organic shampoo, organic body wash, etc, and even their shower water is filtered and not just their drinking water. You can go watch their video. They did all of that and one of them still passed away from breasts cancer at 33. Chandler's David Smith's wife is still alive at 26 yrs old. She just got colon surgery done two weeks ago and is trying to recover from that. Chandler is worth over $20 mil, so you know they can afford any treatment they want and can afford all the healthy foods in the world. You can do all the right things but shit happens. You just never know.

Your videos really take the guest work out of it for me. Knowing ahead of time what to look for is a game changer. The only thing is, if you are someone who is use to a certain taste (for instance: Pasta) purchasing healthier options is all about try and error. You have to really find what works for your tastebuds. Unfortunately it could mean making a purchase that you may end up tossing….waisting $$. Bobby you should do taste test challenges!! An example is the Jovial brand pasta vs. the Chickpea or Lentil pasta from ALDIs. Making the switch over to a healthier pasta took me multiple purchases. Now I know that Jovial works for my tastebuds.

Cotton (and soy) is heavily sprayed with pesticides as well as genetically modified. Both are full of chemicals from processing. Don’t forget that toxic things get stored in body fat and tend to accumulate.The chips done in avocado oil are more expensive, but exceptionally tasty.

I'm currently spending a lot of money on medical bills (unfortunately not anything that can be fixed by diet and exercise). My new year's resolution was to spend much less on groceries, but eat organic as much as possible. Every Wednesday I scour the sales flyers for all the grocery stores in my area looking for deals, and plan menus around what's on sale and what's in my pantry. This week, I picked up that Aldi ground beef for the freezer, organic chicken drumsticks at Sprouts for lunches and organic whole chicken at Whole Foods (which is on sale for the same $2.69 per lb as Aldi this week). Food's still expensive, but we're trimming the grocery bill, one trip at a time!

And look for a good functional medicine doctor, hopefully locally but many use telemedicine approach nowadays which allows you to look for someone suitable regardless where in US they are and you are. Look into functional medicine doctor, naturopathic doctor or integrative medicine doctor. You have high chances getting of your meds, balance your physical and emotional health as both are intimately connected
