@@OhSoTiredMan personally I think $275 max. You look at something like the QK75n that has higher quality materials in every aspect, has a screen, and that was $195 without switches and keycaps. I don't see anything about this keyboard that would be considered objectively higher quality than the QK75n. Maybe the larger screen of the azoth, but I think the materials, polished weight, catch ball mechanism, magnetic daughter board, and multiple layout options on the PCB of the QK75n more than make up for any difference in screen quality.

@@K1LO_ The Alu case for the wooting is also made from alloy, yet it's not this expensive. i think it should have been around $150-225 because it had the CNC case and the OLED screen. Thats the only good things about this keyboard. Hotswap PCB and Carbon Fibre Plate isnt that rare these days.

At this point in time, I think there is really two types of keyboards that make sense to buy. Hall Effect Rapid Triggers for the best performance and really any decent mechanical keyboard to customize yourself, both can be had for quite a bit less than 500$. Hall Effect gives you the best performance and offering such a generic "Gamer" Keyboard without them at 500$ is criminal. Any of this "8K Polling" will never have any noticeable impact compared to a well implemented rapid trigger. I think this alone makes this keyboard feel like a borderline scam, honestly. I also feel like the screen and the dial are really more a gimmick than anything useful and - in my opinion - should have been left out for a more reasonable pricepoint. Overall, this seems like something no one will buy, because why should they.
@maxzoRHD
@maxzoRHD Ай бұрын
I would buy this for like 300$, just because of looks and materials used. Couldnt care less about a screen and shit like that. But then again, you can just build a nice custom wooting 60he for example in a nice metal case or smth. Or a full custom if thats what youre into, personaly i more care about the gaming preformance, then sound , looks etc.

What got my attention ,pore than anything is the switch to change between a hard and softer typing feel. That´s quite unique, but it´s not worth $500 bucks. Since this is marketed towards gamers, ( hence the classic and getting old fast all black look) more than custom keyboard enthusiasts, ASUS should have included hall effect switches on this board. I can appreciate the intention of doing something different in the gaming keyboard market, but $500 bucks is a hard pill to swallow.

I’m pretty big within the keyboard and can honestly say that this keyboard has my interest. I think they did an AMAZING job for combining both the gaming world and custom keyboard world for this one. It sounds steep but I don’t think the $500 price tag for this is bad. You are getting a lot all while you can still customize it. The only downer that I’ve notice was that it sounded hallow during your type test. It didn’t sound bad, just slightly on the hallow side. Normally you can fix this with foam but it may be a challenge with this keyboard since they implemented that unique hard/soft design. With all of that being said, I have built about 10 custom keyboards from scratch and will be adding this one to my collection!!!! Solid Review Frank

A $500 mass produced keyboard shouldn’t need foam to sound good. For this cost you can get a much nicer keyboard with similar specs (8K hall effect, but wired) from someone like GEON. The price is ABSURD. On the extremely high end this keyboard should be $300, and even that is a stretch.

@@farlig8666 you must not be in the custom keyboard world then lol high-end is well above $300 my friend. Budget is from $100-$300. But to back track a bit. Sound is subjective and I said it sounded slightly hallow to my preference of sound. Mass production product is trying to accommodate for a large scale of customers, which I think they did. They added a very clean gamer aesthetic to a customized keyboard packed with features. If you don’t like the price, move onto the next product! This is actually a thought out product that they put time and effort in to produce. Win in my book if you ask me.

I would pay $300, maybe $350 but not $500, that is a little insane especially considering that the software is pretty much unusable. When you take into account all the very nice fully AL budget boards in 2023, like the Rainy75, ND75, AL75, SK75 etc... the price is even more confusing, especially for a north facing PCB. While not fully AL the Nuphy Halo75 sounds and feels great and is truly an RGB powerhouse on top of it. Lmaoooo the Drake reference is wild! [ 2:31 ] And how does key height affect stem wobble? [ 2:26 ] It doesn't, the stem tolerance is what determines wobbleability Also, five hundred dollurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs

I had the Corsair K90 for about 5 year and was looking for a change. I recently tried the Everest Mountain and Razer Deathstalker Pro TKL and like them both for different reasons. Assuming the cost isn't a concern, would you personally recommend this to try?

I think I have a problem. 3 and a half minutes in and I'm sold on a $500 keyboard.... This is the problem with having adult money.

It's cool, but I don't think it's $500 cool. Get rid of the oled screen and I'd probably buy one for half the price. Also, the Wooting 80HE is coming out soon, so yeah..

For $500, does that mean they'll actually support the warranty?

I've used regular Azoth for two years now. The main selling points are: 2000hr wireless (its true) + oled screen. But those two things work against each other. The regular version has plastic bottom and is stiff even after modding - this one is better but no one should buy at that price. Personally I would prefer a wireless HE version with a knob.

I want this keyboard bad,.. but going to wait for a sale. Rather pay $400-350. I have the original Azoth so there's no rush.

WOW, $500 for a keyboard. You can get a PC for that price. I don't think it is worth the cost because the battery will not last long due to the mini display screen, and I don't see a primary volume dial as I like to control this on my keyboard.

Not bad, not bad. Not interesting but it sounds like a well made keyboard. I am however genuinely surprised it doesn't have a speaker in it that growls at you when you turn it on or goes woohoo when you go over 100wpm. Maybe in Ver 2.0.
