Almost through the video now, that is awesome! I think that feeding the rattlesnake to the water monitor was the ONLY thing to do.

Hi . I have been watching kamp kenan videos since this channel uploaded nile crocodile in backyard. Since then i have never missed any uploads... I am a bird lover. Owned birds since childhood. And just finally loved to see there are many who have given their whole life dedicated to animals care and also spread this kindness. Love from India

I just recently bought a box turtle from my local pet shop and they told me she was a tropical eastern box turtle but she was clearly an ornate desert turtle. Also was told a few days later by a different employee that she was in fact wild and shipped to them not captive bred but we have no laws with box turtles here so my question is I live in Oregon and it gets too cold for an outdoor enclosure so what's the best temperature to keep her indoor enclosure at? Also should I have a heat lamp for night time? Sometimes my apartment will get to 65 degrees or lower at night without a heater. Thank you so much!!! 😊

I’m not usually a fan of snakes but you have some very beautiful ones. I have always loved turtles it fascinates me that they have such a long life span and they are very interesting to watch go about their day. I wish all animal owners would care as much as you do. You have built something very special.

It's also my dream to have an enviroment around my house like you and your friend ( the old man). I love lizards, but you are really helping me understand turtles, which I need because I found a common snapper baby (It is doing amazing).

I saw on your house, you dont have a backflow preventer (one way valve), on your hose bib. You need one to prevent backflow into your potable water supply since you leave your hose near your water features. Itll protect your drinking water from contamination.

Love taking a little walk around with you! Would be cool to get some filtration on your large ponds so we could see more. Aquascape wetland/bog filter add-ons? 😊😁 would also be neat if slinky’s water was more filtered as well. I know it’s for us and not them though as they are all very well taken care of.

Put some goldfish in your small ponds, they won't die after a cold snap. Usually when you buy feeders there are some nice long-finned ones mixed in , and they grow into beautiful little no-hassle fish that won't overcrowd your pond or ruin your plants. The best for small ponds, imo.

@kampkenan lemon balm is a natural mosquito repellent you should consider planting some around the property or try rubbing some on their shells. Poor torts getting sucked on by mosquitoes lol

@12:02 -- Communication! I never knew tortoises (or turtles) made noises although to me this sounds like mild hissing or breathing. I dunno. I suspect the tortoises are more aware of things than we give them credit for. Heck, cats and dogs are smarter than many people think!
