Chefs really, not one treated that woodcock with respect as a good chef would do.I was a paramedic and no matter what the pressure I did the work correctly and with a lot of respect to my patient.

Lol you can tell that Greg seemed annoyed af, by the end of the skills round, at the fact that there were chefs in the competition who had never prepared game before.

Greg can bugger off as far as I'm concerned. I would love to see him prepare a game bird. At this point I have doubts that he would even be able to make a damn grilled cheese sandwich.

@@dragonsky799 Greg isn't meant to be the judge as a chef. He's supposed to be the judge as a regular diner. You don't need to be a professional chef in order to say if a food is tasty or not.

So Sam calls himself the best chef in the country and he’s going to win the master chef competition by serving a beef dish with cheese that looks like maggots on it, well that certainly will win you the competition by getting knocked out 🤣💀

Simon. Take a lesser cut of meat that people dont know about (flat iron) for real??? It´s 2024, Flat Iron is everywhere. In Scandinavia like Sweden, Denmark, Norway, you can get it all year around. Nothing special about it. It does not need rining.

You do not leave the innards in when cooking, the taste of meat will be even worse(gamey). Not to mention what is left in the digestive system. They should know this.

Monica is showing the classically prepared method of cleaning this bird, which was stated multiple times before she began. The woodcock is considered a clean bird, and all the entrails (besides the gizzard) can be eaten. Whether it tastes better to take them out of the bird first before cooking is beside the point. Once again, she is showing the very old classical preparation of it. Honestly, what I can't believe is that you actually think you know better than such a highly acclaimed and knowledgeable chef as Monica Galetti. How very, very silly of you.

@@ramjet7943 My original response is correct. I am not pulling this information out of my ass. I researched it. The entrails CAN be eaten because the woodcock is considered to be a clean bird. And yes, it is the classical preparation of the bird, meaning it is done in the old world style, which does in fact go back hundreds of years. Please do yourself a favor and a do a little research before you continue to argue about this. You're wrong. Deal with it.
