0:56 One constant question that comes along and a great reflection of "Why does god let good people suffer?" In this, Liu Kang tried his best to craft a virtuous timeline but the reality of life cannot be avoided. Disease, pain, death, injury all these things happen outside of one's control. But without suffering, we'd never know sincerely good people or what kindness is. Without suffering, there can be no knowledge of prosperity or peace. You cannot have one without the other; and it's unfortunate of those who befall such things.

Considering Kronica never made her perfect timeline after billions of attempts, and was even defeated despite her powers, it's clear that the Keeper of Time isn't an omnipotent being with complete control.

Poor Baraka... In all previous MK, he was considered the worst.... in both outlook and inside... But finally I personally understood the pain and suffering he and his clan are enduring... I fully sympathize with him (though fictional character)

I highly prefer this Baraka than the previous ones. He was once someone who earned his respect & wealth, but despite the suffering his afflictions caused him, he aids & speaks up for those like him. Not only that, he didnt let his mistreatment fully consume him with hate & still helped Lu Kang's champs when sharing a similar threat. Plus he shows warning, concer & respect to characters like Reptile, kenshi, smoke & Mileena from time to time. Truly a tragic character one can now highly respect.

Baraka really went from a nosedive in MK9-X (first a Jobber, then an expandable kill for a new character) to his best days ever in the past 2 games, and Im glad to be here for it.

Maybe Baraka should request that liu kang consider getting a doctor to examine tarkat. Considering their over reliance on magic and basic alchemy they are not nearly as advanced as earth realm. A skilled doctor might be able to find a solution. Then again this could be less of a viral issue and more of a magic issue. My guess is the titan havik could have a role to play.

possibly. although it wouldn't be a bad idea to have Earthrealm's best doctors and Outworlds most effective sorcerers research the disease to find a cure. even if the cure only removes the mindless bloodlust in early development stages, it would still be a massive improvement.

0:33 Ok. To point this out. Yes, Liu Kang is the keeper of time, but there are some things that went beyond his control. Yes, He did create the timeline, but he does not control anyone's life and / or destinies. Sometimes, things go beyond the creator's control, and the Tarkat virus and Titan Shang Tsung were one of them. Liu Kang is not the TVA (if people get this referance) and / or anyone or thing who can control people's lives and force them to go with proper flow of time with the destinies or fates that were sent to them. He is the creator, but he is not the puppeteer and holds no strings.

Thanks for the upload bruv, I legit got extremely happy and proud when Baraka himself said he and his people are no longer pariahs, a very invigorating and motivating ending for the better yo, the majority of society would agree with what I just said, no doubt Good vid, thx for the mk uploads, a long with others that do the same

Technically it is Lui Kang fault. Like Old School Baraka was a proud Tarkartan Race. I like that Baraka is more of a "DarkMan type" antihero now, but I feel Tarkart disease is WAAAAAY worse than what he had before

It's really not plausible that Liu Kang and Geras can't cure Tarkat. They have an infinite amount of universes to access. There has to be a cure in one of those. So, it's not really a case of "can't" as much as it is "won't".

Unless Tarkat only exists in Liu Kang’s timeline. Sure there’s an infinite amount of universes but there is a notable difference in each of them, perhaps Tarkat is the only difference in this timeline. Liu Kang tried to get rid of Tarkatans only for them to still emerge, it shows there are limits to his power and Other most likely Titans at play. Hanzo loses his sight, Kuai Liang gets his scar and Johnny Cage still ends up a movie star with a massive ego. Some things will be just willed into existence without any logic whatsoever and they can’t be taken cared of or cured because they are beyond comprehension, possibly being created by the other titans.

I wish they would go into more detail as to why the tarkatans were changed into a disease while the other non human races like the shokans or centaurions weren't changed. Because this was coming off as racist 😒.
