I can't tell you how many times I have slipped off that back bumper. It remains a mystery to me... THIS new cover is what I have been waiting for! ORDERED! (And appreciate the disclaimer about standing on it!)

Absolutely love mine & thanks Simon for letting me purchase a prototype some months back. It’s tidied up the rear bumper very nicely & no more scratches from dog claws on my bumper! Another fitting tip is to remove the rear door strut when positioning the cover and I used a hairdryer on mine to warm up the cover and silicon when fitting on a cold day. A brilliant and well designed solution… Thank you 👍

Thanks Simon. Fits perfectly. Even had enough to overlap the front lip and remove any gap around the outside edge. Keeps the creepy crawlies out…perhaps more relevant to your Australian customers.

Great product Simon… Just fitted to my Defender this morning. I ran a line of black electrical tape on the edge of the silver part of the bumper, so that any small gaps aren’t noticeable at all. Looks much better than the silver and looks more OEM than OEM!

Excellent product ! - The LR one is really so stupid as it does not protect the edge at all and the first thing that gets damaged when loading and unloading is the edge of the bumper. Congratulations - perfect - exactly what was needed. 👍

If you want to stick it on with a polyurathane adhesive but not permanent permanent, then first apply sign writer vinyl to the bumper and glue to that. I have done this with a flexi solar panel to the roof of my D4 and it hasn't moved in 5 years.

Just fitted... Superb product, now to give 24hrs and then let the dogs paws on to it.

I reckon it slopes in order to avoid such as road chippings fouling the rear door opening as the gap increases as its opened

Hi folks. Super quick delivery of the rear bumper cover, but, it seems to be over 10mm too long for the bumper. I haven’t installed it yet as I can’t decide if that’s the way it was designed, or, if it was designed that length, how to fill the considerable gap on each side. In contrast, the width in the Center is perfect.

To cover silver area that may show, how about a black vinyl self adhesive strip with kit to cover silver area that shows, piece the length of bumber x 5mm 🤔 Great vid as usual 👍

Be curious if there is any way (or need outside from myself) of a front end gloss black protection system that doesn't add much length to the car like the OEM ones do. I plan to use mine in the city all the time to load gear out and am parallel parked constantly. Just a thought!

Hi Simon, I’ve recently purchased the Spare Wheel Lock off you for my new 3 week old Defender 90 😁& although I initially had a fitting problem, your after sales help sorted it thank you😁…. I’m now going to purchase this top bumper cover but ….. I wanted to ask you please, do I need to use the silicon? If ever I have or decide to take it off, the silicon looks a nightmare to remove & looks like it will cause permanent damage. If I can get away with just the sticky pads, that would be perfect (need to order the satin finish cover soon as I have already had to wax / polish scuff marks off my gloss black bumper top twice already). Thank you.

Hi Simon. Could you not design it as a one piece in which it also incorporates the the tow hooks.

Make a step cover that is flat perhaps? With the curved cut out let into it the clear the spare wheel if it clashes, at least there will be two flat bits either side. That will sell! Thanks

very nice. but I'd want a more snug fit so no overhang or silder showing. maybe a way is to take it over the black edge to the rear of the car.

Looks good. Would you be able to tell us when the recovery hook step chequer plate will be available and will it be and add on as I already have the V1.0 step with skateboard tread.

Why not mould one which has a flat top?

I wish there was a sort of wedge-shaped piece to go underneath and make it sit flat instead of sloping

Do you 3D Print them checker plates?? I love to have a checker plater door card made out of plastic instead of the metal save loads of weight.

I love this cover, I've had it on my Defender X for over a year, but it has now fallen off. Like Johan (see below), the double sided tape and silicone adhesive has just peeled off the back of the cover, leaving the silicone solidly fixed to the (black) bumper (the double sided tape peeled off o.k.). I've ordered numerous silicone removal tools and products to remove the silicone off the bumper, but how do I make sure this doesn't happen again? Have you found a plastic primer that I can spray onto the back of the cover before applying the tape and silicone. I've experimented, sticking numerous tapes and adhesives to the back of the cover, but they all just peel off, it's almost like a non-stick finish! Thanks.......I just noticed that mine is the "Customer Photo" on your website listing for this cover.😊

If I fit the bumper cover before I fit the tow loops etc, does it make removing the bumper more difficult ? I want to prioritise my pending purchases but I really want the bumper cover first 😀

Does the adhesive tube come with the purchase of the bumper? If not what adhesive do you recommend?

Mine fell off this week. Applied per the video. Now I have to figure out how to get the silicone material off the bumper without damaging the paint. The three double stick pads failed. They had sand/dust dirt on them. Don't know if it would have been better to run a bead of that adhesive all along the top of the rubber cover as it meets the top black molding of the bumper -- didn't do that because of the "let water run off" comment.

My bumper cover has come off, it more or less just fell off... Both the silicone and double sided tape meant to keep it in place wont stick to the cover. I have tried to clean the cover with all types of degreaser including acetone (and used sandpaper on it) but nothing seems to stick to it. Now I have a bumper that looks terrible, with silikon all over and no way to get it clean, and no way to get the bumper cover to fit or stick again... Simon, need some help here! How do I remove the silicone stuck to the bumper, and what on earth will stick to the bumper cover?

Great looking product - I’m mainly interested that the bumper can be stood on at all, I’m constantly yelling at my family not to sit on it!
