I think your idea of dark pink, then dark blue, then lighter blue for the hearts in the socks is the combination that would work best. All the colours are lovely though. It will be interesting to see what you finally come up with!

I love your SEAWEED Scarf!!! I have some of that red KnitCrate yarn myself, and haven't been able to figure out what to make, but this would be perfect! So if you need a test knitter for it... let me know!

I usually wind my yarn twice. The first time it is wound a lot tighter than the second time. The cake will be very relaxed and not stress the yarn.

Barbara Plautz yes I’ve heard of people doing that too. My last winder was quite lose, but the one I use now makes a much firmer ball. ❤️

Hi Sandra! I'd love to win a copy of that magazine! I live in the USA, so UK-based magazines are expensive here. I'm working on crocheting a cat bed right now. I make cat beds for the local animal shelter. Cheers! Erica

53 pairs of Socks?! Goodness me, I hope to have half as many. Always a pleasure to look at all your lovely socks. Personally I would have gone with the navy the light blue and the yellow. But you have such a great eye for color that I'm sure you have sped your way past the hurdle. My question to you would be, Do you have a design process, or inspiration? Or, how do you determine color combos, because I always love all the combos you come up with. Seriously the color combos in the getting ziggy interrupted are to die for.

I know! It's crazy isn't it? I blame Kristen of Voolenvine, when she did her year of socks KAL, that's what really got me addicted I think! Ooh, I love those questions, they are fab. Interesting too, because sometimes it feels like these things just happen! Thank you for these though, I'll definitely pop them into a future pod! ❤️ S x

Soooooo jealous of your sock making! ha ha! I really need to just go for it. I'm awful. I spend my life thinking that if I just think about something, I can dream that I actually can do it.......if I actually have a go and realise I just cannot do it, then the sense of failure is worse than having the dream. It's a tad pathetic to actually think like that, and sadly I apply it to all areas of my life! Note to self, must actually try harder in the knitting dept!!!!!!!! xxx
@CherryHeart5 жыл бұрын
Ha ha, I do know what you mean, it can take me an awful long time to work up to actually trying something too. And yes, that feeling!! Just having that exact thing at the moment with those heart socks. I see the socks, I love the socks, I try and make the socks.... and it's been a disaster! So, blooming disappointing! Argh! Kind of wish I'd never started. Although that's not exactly encouraging words for you is it, kind of endorsing the 'don't try' veiw! 😂😂 So ignore everything I said and get yourself knitting!! Just maybe give colour work knitting a bit of a wide berth for now! 😉😉 ❤️❤️

Hi Sandra - nice to see you again. 53. I could have never guessed it. I do have a question and you are free to talk about it although it's not technical at all. I just was wondering where the name Cherry Heart came from.
@CherryHeart5 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it! I know, I didn't think it would be 53 either, I had to count twice! 😂 Ooh, that's a good question! It's a bit of a convoluted story, so I might talk about that on the next pod if that's ok. Thank you for the question! S x

Katinkia Storm yes rubbish isn’t it? I had customs charge this month too! It might be worth contacting them to complain, I have. They said it’s because they changed the shipping this month and it shouldn’t happen next month... we’ll see!

@@CherryHeart Yes. I emailed them and asked them to cancel this month's and issue refund since it's not shipped yet. Got to go collect the other ones tomorrow from the post office. Bit peeved. I used to get loot crates and other stuff from US with no customs.
